I used this as my everyday driver . . . for my AWAY from the office needs. I have a desktop at BOTH home and at the office that I use for primary needs.
I upgraded the RAM from 8GB to 20GB by adding a 16GB Crucial memory chip (though the advertised maximum RAM is 12GB) Crucial's site showed that the 16GB chip would work (as did a few online end-user statements). 4GB of RAM is soldered, leaving one slot that comes with a 4GB chip in it. I looked up the part number crucial's site and ordered the chip elsewhere for a lower price. After installing the 16GB chip I ran Lenovo's full memory check (it's a very extensive check that takes considerable time to complete) and it it came back perfect and I have experienced no issues.
Additionally, I swapped out the 256GB SSD for a 1TB NVMe SSD that I got on BF.
Last but not least I was surprised that there is an open spot for a 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD, so I added a 1TB Samsung SSD that I had lying around into that space (mostly for onboard backups).
YES, as others have pointed out the display is NOT the top-of-the-line and has poor viewing angles (which is a benefit when using it on the plane, so nosy seat mates aren't looking), the keyboard is not backlit and the Intel graphics are NOT top of the line . . . So, if you're looking for full on gaming monster, then this probably isn't for you.
Others have complained about lack of durability with Lenovo and while I don't handle my laptops with kid gloves - I don't pick them up and swing them around by the screen either. While I've only had it a couple of months it seems decent durability-wise (I guess time will tell on that potential issue),
BUT, as an owner of this exact model - for the price . . . with that i7 10 series processor it's a bargain IMHO. Depending on your needs and expectations YMMV.

Same thought. There is a Costco version of this that has the ips display as well as the backlit keyboard BUT it's $699
(Update: Site was previously showing out of stock for delivery but has since been updated. Good deal!)

It is defective and they should have recalled it.
I have owned 6 months and I wasted 3-4 months to repair it.
It looks like they do not have service center and all repairs would go through Best Buy. So it take more time to repair it, but they failed to fix the problems.
- Wifi connectivity problem
- Sleeping mode problem
- Fan problem
I asked them to replace the unit, but they refused it.
They said "Under Lenovo's policy, the unit does not qualify for a replacement."
So I asked them to send me the Lenovo's policy.
Later they said that it was their warranty, which is 'in 30 days'
Do not waste your time to escalate your case to upper managers…
They didn't do anything… so I waste my time to get the empty shipping box.
