For those who need a service like this, use Privacy(dot)com. It's free and it lets you create virtual credit cards that you can use for stuff like this. You can set specific per-charge limits so they can't charge you more than they're supposed to. You can also set recurring or one time, or a specific length of time for the virtual card to be active. I use it for all of my free trials and stuff. I don't even need to cancel the trails anymore since I set the card to close after a specific date.

I used Visible for one month last year when they were giving out free phones for signing up with them.

Visible's customer service was shockingly poor. There was no way to contact them by phone or email. The only customer service available was by online chat. If they could not resolve your issue in one chat session, you had to contact them again and start completely over with a new representative.

Multiple times the chat representative told me my problem had been escalated and someone would contact me, but I was not contacted in any way, by phone or by email, other than to receive surveys about their customer service. You can guess my responses.

If you deal with Visible, plan on having technical and billing issues, and plan on not being able to resolve them with their customer service.

They SAY they'll take any Android phone, but require an IMEI (GSM) number. I try to enter an MEID (CDMA) number from an old Kyocera Event phone (Android 4.0.4) and it won't take it. Anyone figure if I'm doing something wrong? I tried both the HEX and DEC versions the Kyocera phone displays (15 digit hex, 18 digit dec). Visible says the number should be 15-16 digits, so I'd assume the HEX would fit, but it doesn't work either. I understand the Visible network only uses GSM, but that shouldn't matter for a trade in that's not going to be used there.
Could you figure it out? I tried it also but it wouldn' take my old sprint based phones MEID too, I doubt they come with IMEI cause it is GSM technology maybe?

I can also confirm you can send in a cracked phone. Used the swap on the ZTE Blade A7 Prime and was approved with an old phone that still turned on.
Is ZTE unlocked phone as well? or is only for Visible?

Ordered mine yesterday -- have an old Moto E 2nd gen phone laying around to trade in

Cart showed $12.xx due today when checking out -- after submitting the order my CC was charged $25 for 1st mo service and phone was free (no tax)

Used a cash back website for another $10 back -- $15 for 1mo service and Moto E6 upgrade isn't bad

Didn't want to take a risk with using a $20 referral and end up with billing issues -- would rather just take the regular $15 discount they show in cart to lower the risk

Will use Visible service for 1mo then port to Mint 3mo free promo if I can get that on Sunday
Does your phone have IMEI? I have Sprin/CDMA based Moto E2 and it has only MEID (dec) and MEID (hex)

Shows both on mine -- I have the VZ prepaid Moto E 2nd Gen which was GSM unlocked but you had to screw around with the phone using a computer to get it to work with TMo/ATT

MEID is 14 digits
IMEI is 15 digits (MEID + single check digit)

My phone shows:
MEID 99000...9507
IMEI 99000...95078

You can try using a converter to see if that works: https://www.imei.info/meid

Website shows an "8" hexadecimal check digit (CD) all the way on the right when I enter my MEID -- if you want to take the risk then you can add the check digit that the website shows to your MEID and trade it in

There shouldn't be any charge at all. If there is a charge, remove the item in cart and re-add the item again and the charge should be disappeared.

I had a charge yesterday and I didn't ordered. Today I went in my cart and the charge has disappeared. I only got an email from them that $20 is charging to my card for the first month service.

So after 30 min or so of back and forth messages, where he asked me no less than 3 times to go to the about phone status page and even needed a screenshot confirmation because he apparently didn't believe me, he finally comes back as says MEID only phones are not accepted after all. Hard to believe I'm the first he's ever run into, but what'cha goin do. Stick Out Tongue

Just curious so I checked. That seller has a couple Windows 8 Nokia phones for $6.99, but no $5 Win10 phone I could see. That what you're referring to? "W 10 SM" wasn't exactly clear (W 10 = Windows 10? SM = ??? SiM?)

No. If they don't take CDMA only phones, you'd think they'd have the forethought to say so before people keep trying and failing.
