Great deal if you've had your eye on this. Just remember it isn't small so not intended for backpacking. Rolls up though, and is very comfy. This is the self-inflating foam core style.

It's under 2 lbs, why automatically relegated to car camping? is it bigger than the Thermorest foam pad many people take on through hikes?

Good find. If only shipping were free. I have some 1.5 self inflating that could be a tad bit thicker.

Thank you OP! Bought 4 for the kids. 2" thick and R-3 value. Great for Spring to Fall camping!

Big Agnes and REI have fantastic customer service too! I own 2 big Agnes tents. One tent-Flying Diamond 6, my family have slept in it for 90+ days camping across the US national parks. Big Agnes make durable products.

It's not exactly svelte at 21" long (packed) and 28 ounces. Sub-16 ounce pads that pack as small as a Nalgene are more often found in a backpack these days.

Like many things, you could bring it backpacking, but it's a bit large and heavy.

Can any comment on this compared to the Klymit Static V Sleeping Pad? I'm interested more in comfort than the packing size for car camping.

Will someone get this deal a thumbnail?

Edit: The "unhelpful" voters might not know a thumbnail is the picture at the top of the deal post. Not exactly "unhelpful" to state that mods should fix that..

I have the Klymit Static V Luxe. I have logged over 350 nights on it. Love it. That said, I have the non-insulated version and will put a yoga mat underneath it for insulation during car camping. The added mat does provide some added comfort.

I don't think there is a insulated klymit available anywhere near this price. Amazon had a Klymit advertised around Black Friday for around this price, but they claimed pricing error and I doubt they fulfilled any. At 27 bucks, insulated, and 2" thick, I would say this would be very good for car camping. I bought 2 and got it shipped to my home for free. Looks like a buy now and ask questions later situation!

Thanks @tcamp and @earthdogmonster. I wasn't thinking about insulation but it's a great point. I think I paid about $35-$40 for the two Klymits I have. I went ahead and ordered two of these.

I don't know guys... there are not a lot of reviews, and the reviews that are up are pretty dang bad... There seems to be a LOT of complaint about the pad exploding up into big bubbles. The quality and customer service seems to be terrible too. Unless you can find some solid evidence, I'd look elsewhere...

Only 2" thick? 4" thick is the way to go for car camping/glamping. Its like sleeping on your bed at home. 2" is backpacking thickness.
