Is the 64 gb storage an issue? I see some have 32 or even 16!! I am guessing this is like an android phone except in a laptop form? But I run out of space on a 32gb phone with all the apps and stuff...is it somehow different for a chromebook?

Thanks in advance!
Most of your stuff should be in the cloud/nas and not locally.
I rocked a 32gb chromebook for a while as a basic surfer and it did just fine. Even converted it to Win10 at one point, can't do that now a days though with newer chromebooks
If you want to stay in the Windows environment I'd highly suggest checking out the Acer Swift 1. It's an aluminum body 14" 1080p IPS matte display and a M.2 2280 expandable slot in case the 64gb on-board isn't enough. You can get them "re-certified" from Acer for $180 where they're basically selling new stock as used so they don't have to warranty them as long.
How do you like the poin2? How is the speed and have you had trouble with it loading any websites?
I get some stuttering when I scroll on the touchscreen and have a few tabs with video playing. It is smooth when I use the mouse or trackpad. Could be my extensions.
I do notice that the i5 windows machine with 8gb of memory is a bit faster loading some pages but it is not noticeable 95% of the time.

It was nice, but the screen was just a pain to look at. Yes, I realize that it was less than $300.... but still...
never had a chromebook before...

Good ips screen and solid aluminum construction.
Have had it for a month now and don't touch my i5 windows ultrabook that is much more powerful but only lasts three hours on a charge.
I miss the matte screen and lighted keyboard of my older machine but this chromebook is totally serviceable for interwebbing and youtube.
