Price Dropped on 3/6 down to $1,299.99 and is likely the lowest ever for this model. Store pick-up at a few Fry's in the Bay Area, CA , 1 store in Phoenix AZ, 1 store Milton GA and stores in Austin/Dallas/ Houston TX - clearance stock of the top-of-the-line Weber Summit BBQ Grills. Target has these on their website so a red card price match discount and maybe even a free shipping opportunity is worth the effort.

Great Price. I've holding out for this same grill but in stainless and Natural Gas, so close.

I don't trust you. Weber is the Bose of the grill world. Overrated and overpriced. In 2010 of Weber was sold to BDT Capital Partners. Almost immediately quality went down and prices went up. There are much higher quality grills for the same price.

It's not just the product, you're buying the best support of any BBQ manufacturer I've experienced. 5 years after purchase and they just sent me a new lid because of some rust from the ocean air. Shipped free to my door. They want you to be happy which is hard to find these days. If it wasn't for the post-purchase service I'd have to agree with you though.

They better have decent support for the cheap parts and high prices. Try Wilmington Grills instead with their lifetime unquestioned warranty. At the $2k price range there are many companies with far better quality and better warranties. Even Weber's top of the line Summit use porcelain coated steel for the burner housing and the rear of the grill. Weber Summit uses thin 430 stainless for majority of the construction. At that price range most of the competitors are using much higher quality 304 stainless.

In the market for a grill. Can you or anyone else recommend other brands and models?

Costco has a great Weber grill in store price $999.99 - GenesisII S-345 includes cover & iGrill module with 4 probes (cover and iGrill would cost about $150). I just got this grill assuming it would be a downsize from my now-retired 14 year old Weber Summit.
This is a great grill !!! Top rated on Cons.Rpts. and look up the review on amazngribs.com . It's all upside with this grill and with basic care and regular maintenance this will last at least the 10 years of Weber's warranty.
If you need a bit larger grill the S-435 is it at about $300 more but not at Costco and not with the extra accessories

Wilmington Grills, Bull, American Outdoor Grills, and Napoleon would be the best to look into. They run about the same price as the Summit, but sell based on quality and not name. They use thick 14 gauge 304 stainless steel for construction, welded hoods instead of bolts, and include lifetime warranties.

Weber is good, but you're paying mostly for the name and gimmicks like bluetooth controls and LED fuel gauges. They have limited 5-10 year warranty, use cheap thin 16 gauge 430 stainless, non-stainless bolts the rust, and other cost saving measures.

You would never be disappointment with a Weber Summit, but there are much better options. It is like comparing a Mercedes to a Bentley.

In store price, customer pick up is $999.99. Website price $1129 includes shipping. Call your local Costco(s) for current stock. My closest C'co was oos but had 16 due in a few days, while another C'oc 5 miles away had 7 in stock.

Isn't the S-345 discontinued and lacks the sear station? I thought the S-335 is the replacement.
