Use dry, not oily beans. Lavazza Supercrema is a good option.
Preheat your cups using the hotwater function, otherwise you're sapping heat away from your shot.
Start on the super fine to fine setting, then go more coarse if you need to. If your shots are sour then keep going more fine. Coffee should never be sour!
+1 on ALL tips above. Medium roast, non-oily beans, filtered water, and one more thing: DO YOUR MAINTENANCE and do it on schedule and when otherwise required. If you don't have the will or the time to do the proper machine maintenance, a superautomatic isn't for you. Best wishes.

Also, using filtered water rather than tap water will extend the life of your machine.

This, descale on a regular schedule or you'll regret it.
Also, clean your machine. Use both the declacifier as well as degreaser tablets.
Would RO water be ok to use?
I have a simple nespresso machine - thinking about upgrading.
