Where did you hear this? A dream?
Yes. It's a coupon code you put in your cart or when you checkout. It gives you 5-10% items and helps support content creators.

Here's one.

Cheapest 1660 super available at the moment. Trust me I've been researching and price hunting for the past week. This comes out to $205 AR plus tax after all factors.

FYI though you can get a dual fan w/metal back plate model for $210 AR plus tax after all factors when using an associate's code on EVGA.com.

I'd assume it's more worth it to go with the $210 one? Why would I go with this one over the dual fan besides size?

What do you mean by associate's code? Do you have one?

I don't know, Big Navi and Ampere are going to drop any day now. I heard the $250 Ampere card will be as powerful as a 2080 Ti.

A 1080 Ti maybe... No way a 2080 Ti. Out your mind.

If you needed to save the $5 or have a really small restrictive case. No reason otherwise. Plus not many people know about the associate codes you can find easily online, I just posted one, that saves you 5-10% on evga.com. 5% on GPUs.

No backplate is a deal breaker for me.

My last option is to just wait for Ampere so prices drop, but this is tempting. If I do decide it'll probably be the dual fan. Thanks for the insight 👍

https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator This can help you. Just plug in your CPU, memory, fans, GPU, etc. and it will estimate your power supply needs at different efficiencies.
