It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

AT&T Internet 1000
Includes unlimited internet data$59.99
$20 off for 12 months with bundle-$20.00

Internet subtotal
$39.99

Does anyone know if they will charge early termination fees; if one were already in a 12 month promo period and opted for this deal now?
Same question, I had signed up 4 months ago for $70 GB deal.

According to the website, it is $10 per month for the equipment fee, since I already have a modern for Spectrum, will it work? Or where can I buy a modern for AT&T?

Congrats. How fast did your change get approved? I did the change at 11:50pm PST and the status said "we need more info to complete your order. Call us at xxx-xxx-xxxx to move along"
Mine went smooth without any order stipulation. I just change through web site last night and this morning I got order processed email. It even lowered my monthly bill from $50 to $40 with $10 additional discount.

Hi How can you buy the service without the $10 equip fee?
There was no option for equipment so I just went for $50 since it was cheaper than my current bill $70 anyway.

But this morning, ATT adjusted it to $40 after order processed.

I guess ATT may adjust it to correct price depends on location, service, equipment I guess.

My initial price was $50 / month but after they processed the order, they adjusted it to $40.

This may / may not work from your case.

I have attached screenshots from last night's order and this morning's dashboard. Check my post from page2.

Fine print on https://www.att.com/internet/ says there's a $10 monthly equipment fee. Has anyone been getting charged this? I'm currently on the 100Mbps plan for $50 total, and I don't get charged for equipment.
I spoke to a chat rep. Who confirmed because I have equipment already capable of doing 1gb - that I won't be charged the $10 fee. I saved the transcript in case they come back and try to charge me for it

Up to 1000mbps... According to ATT, 12mpbs is within spec.
With 1000 att only makes sure you get 80 percent of it. If its below that they will do anything to fix it. I had techs at our home for weeks until it was resolved down the road and now between 800-980. But the speedtest must be done from the test inside the modem not your computer

Partially correct. Not all fiber is synchronous. In the case of AT&T, they call it fiber, but it's only fiber to some point in your neighborhood, then the "extra mile" to your house is not.

Even for businesses, AT&T Fiber comes in two flavors -- Dedicated service (very expensive), and Cheap. The Cheap option is not the same up and down speeds. Nor is the home service.

That has been my experience since getting AT&T Small Business Fiber for a client in SoCal. Cheap, but not synchronous. Also, they filter, even for businesses, so things like mail servers do not work.

Of course, in my neighborhood, no AT&T Fiber. Gotta stick with greedy COX with their data caps.
Is this a recent thing, how long ago was that experience? The user videos of ATT Fiber installs on Youtube show a fiber cable to inside their homes. The half a dozen videos I've seen were from 2016, 2017, and 2018 and they all show the same type of setup. Fiber cable to an outside box at the house (looks like just a box to join two fiber ends together), then there's another fiber cable that runs from that outside box to an inside box. That inside box converts the fiber to ethernet which runs to the ATT WiFi modem.

Has anyone already on the 1000 plan gotten their rate lowered?
I looked online, but I don't have any offers, but I was thinking about calling them.
I called and they reduced my rate from $90 to $70 (this morning) . They offered 1000 service for $40 for 12 months rising to 60 if combined with AT and T TV , 45 rising to 100 second year

Last year, SoCAL. Could be different depending on the infrastructure in place in different areas. In looking at their service speeds, I stand corrected. It seems the AT&T fiber product shows same up/down speeds. It doesn't say which product this covers (is it their dedicated fiber product or residential?).

In any case, if it's 1000/1000 for $40/mo, that is amazing. Something similar for businesses is magnitudes more expensive.

Does anyone know if this deal will work for new customers? I've just signed up to Xfinity but am still in my 30 day cancelation window.

Of note if you don't want the bundle. Verified Veterans can get 1Gb fiber from ATT for about $50 no promo expirations or bundling needed. Adds up to about 25% off.

I was not able to get the $39.99 price as a new customer, only the $49.99 + $10 equipment fee, basically their current promo with the $100 Visa gift card. The gift card offsets the $99 installation fee. Would have been better if I didn't have to do the equipment fee but as a new customer, doesn't look like I have a choice on that. Deal is still better than what I have now with Spectrum so I went for it.
