Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Posting my question again in case someone tried it: Anyone buying a phone outright while porting the number? It does show this offer when you go to buy Pixel 3XL.

They don't relock the devices. They can't. Educate yourself on how this all works.

would be great if their system works that way, if it halts once it sees something is wrong with the information you are providing. but unfortunately.....
just follow the terms as much as possible to be on the safest side.
Agreed. In this case, I'm not aware of anything in the terms that might suggest that Google Fi wouldn't work.

I also chatted with them and they said the phone needs to be at Full SRP (Suggested Retail Price) to be eligible. They confirmed Pixel 3XL is eligible. I can see 3XL shows Full SRP in the cart and the offer is also shown at the time of check out. I am planning to go ahead with it.

Did you place the order? Does the order summary show the promo info for the line you added? Thx

Confirmed.

Up to 5 lines are able to be transferred per account. They must be ported in from another carrier or as a new account.

You can bring your own device or purchase one from Sprint.

I stopped by a corporate store and was assisted. Folks there are amazed at this deal.

This works to be superior to the Best Buy deal, as the folks onsite indicated that those plans would be grandfathered for a year or so after the merger.

Must be you, because I ported in for 1 year, ported out for an hour, and back in for another free year. After my 2 free years I ported over to Visible and my phones are still unlocked.

No, others reported the same. Overall, the problem probably affected <1% (a guess). I like to share my experience because I know a lot of people wait to port out on the final day. They did give me another free month as their mistake forced me to start a new billing cycle.

Can't get the $80 cash back per line at the corporate store.
