Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

it probably won't work. I tried to put in a Sanyo SCP-2700, it it was asking for an ICCID, but the phone doesn't have a sim card.
Update: just check Amazon site and it's still active. No sure why the thread got marked as expired by SD. But the prime delivery date is 4/21 which will be out of promotion window.
Total cost for 12 months = 12 x 35 = 420
Activation = 30
Less return on gift card = 300
Net cost of one year of service = 150
40 unlimited kickstart
-5 autopay discount
3.89 surcharges
6.30 government taxes and fees

Call the Account Services team or Tech Support dept and tell them you have old CDMA phone...just ESN/MEID info....google on how to enter the programming menu for your device...it may be standard ...this will require MSL code...manually update the phone number in your device...
Here is just an example....your device may have different input keys
This is for Sanyo Vero
##MSL (where MSL is your six-digit MSL code)
I just did this a month ago...so it is fresh in my mind...

I think I read somewhere that the Unlimited Basic plan pricing is only until 4/30. At that point, if the Kickstarter is cheaper, can I just switch back to Kickerstarter?

I don't know that if you can change. If you have extra phones, signup for Unlimited Plus.

I think you have to be at least 45 days without sprint service to use the same phone numbers.
You would have to get all new number, port the existing number to google voice, and use it that way til you get the rebate.
