Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Is this promotion 300/line or 300 per account. If we port in 5 lines to sprint, do we get 1500 or 300. Please confirm.
It's funny 😂 that Megan is a bot, I asked her if she is same person I chatted to the day before, she said no, there is another Megan. I want to confirm how many $300 I get, she said upto 1500 each account. Of course, it doesn't matter who says what, no one knows what happens after 90 days, you may get 300 each line, you may get 300 each account, or you may get 0 due to covid-19 or other technicality error. Megan said I can get upto 500$ for refer 10 people to Sprint and each new person get $50 extra as well in additional the $300 BYOD promotion, bottom line is, I don't know for sure until we get it. Lol

I was able to create an account using my sprint account number and not the phone number. The port status is showing pending and to call a specific number.
If its 877-503-3269, call them, they will port asap.

Well, when I chatted with "a Sprint Sales rep" last Saturday, her name was Jessica. So either she was a really person or they had multiple bots Smilie

You: Get a $300 prepaid Mastercard when you bring your phone and number to Sprint.
You: agent please
Megan: It would be my pleasure to help you with the information on $300 masercard with an eligible BYOD and port-in.
Megan: mastercard**
Megan: Please see that in order to activate a device with Sprint services, the device must be compatible to work on Sprint network, incompatible devices cannot be used with Sprint services.

In this case, if you can help me with the IMEI of your device, I would be more than happy to check the device eligibility from our end for you.

You: is it 300 per line or 300 per account
Megan: As I can check on an account upto 5 lines can take the advantage when they bring an eligible device along with eligible port ins.
Megan: Hence for 5 eligible lines each line gets a $300 Mastercard.

I ported 2 lines last week postpaid. I'm trying to add another line this week, but I'm getting stuck at the payment screen where it is saying my payment is declined, but I've checked my CC and it's not being declined.

Has anyone figured out a way around this?

someone else here was a little worried that GV numbers wont work for the $300. Do you think they will?
source? there are no exclusions for porting.

I've signed up for 2 KS accounts, and 5 lines on Unlimited plus, so I expect to be paid, $2,100

I dont remember who posted it or what was posted, I just remember that last week when I was trying to catch up on reading in this thread I noticed a few people were saying that GV worked last time for the free BYOD but may not work this time. Sorry, I dont remember more. Thats why I ended up buying Blue Beat Digital sims for 1.50 each but its kind of a pain also so I might try a few GV lines.

Can anyone confirm how long I have to have been away from sprint to sign back up and qualify for this? We left after the 1-year free ended, maybe around a month ago, sometime after the superbowl for mint when they did their free 3-month promo but already left for cricket because tmobile was so bad. We had pretty good service with sprint before and would buy a new phone and take the $300 to mitigate the cost.

I read the first 13 or 15 pages of the thread and didn't see the answer before I realized how many pages there were. Thanks!
It's 45 days back when you want to re-sign up for the free BYOD plan. So I would go with that.

Do you think the port is in a pending status because the visible account/phone number was suspended prior to the actual activation of the sim?

Try the Sprint BYOD checker. Enter your phone IMEI and then SIM # and see if they're accepted together. Should tell you if there is a problem with that SIM being used with that phone.

it weird for my unlocked iphone which never sign up any sprint service except I tried to use sprint sim to activate TEXTNOW free service, but it didn't success. I guess it's that used sim P/N not for my iphone

Now I tried IMEI to this offer, it shown not eligible for BYOD since it has been activated to sprint
service.

this phone still unlocked since I can use as Mint or Tmobile sim

Any solution for that?

thx

maybe. Sorry, I'm not a porting expert.

If you call Sprint's porting department, they will give you more details.

That's likely. If you had activated the SIM, the phone number became yours, and even when your Visible account was suspended due to non-payment (after the 1st month), Visible still preserve that number for you for 60 days in case you want to come back. But if you never activated that number, it was never "active", and probably got re-assigned to someone else by now.
The only way to know if you "own" that number is to chat with Visible. Their Chat reps are quite friendly and helpful.
