Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

A prepaid gift card is not a credit card. The fund is already loaded to the card. You can't buy a m.o. with a credit card because not only the card company charges the merchant a 2-3% fee but they can also reverse the charge if the card was stolen or not in good standing. By that time, the purchaser is long gone.
I was thinking visa/mc charge their fees even on a prepaid card. No?

They do, but it's a very small amount, usually fixed. Not a percentage of the transaction amount as with a credit card. That's why stores charge you only 80 cents fee for a m.o. and still make money.

I haven't done it in a very long time. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Anyone use a prepaid debit card to get a money order at walmart lately?

Edit_ Here's another option: https://www.usps.com/shop/money-orders.htm
Since these cards have your Name, you can use it at many other stores like S&S, Kroger, etc. I wouldn't use this at Walmart. Several folks had reported issues with using MCGC (Metabank issued) at Walmart for MO. This was reported on DoC. I will link it later in the day. You can use it to load your BlueBird card as well. Always leave a penny on the card regardless of how you use it. Much fewer chance of issues.

I think they are having some website issues currently. I had trouble logging in and now some Sprint pages won't load. Other websites are fine and speedtest is at 150+. HTH

I haven't tried the MO at Walmart for years now...lol. Not sure about fees but I may drain these to Square or something similar and pay the 3%. This is nice MM so 3% might not hurt too bad IMO.

For people that opened up multiple accounts (in same name), did you submit the "web form" for the $300 gift card for all of your accounts in one go? Or did you submit 1 "web form" for each account?
I opened five lines under one account.

I submitted for the rebate using the web portal. I was able to enter all five lines within one request. I was given separate confirmation numbers for each line.

Several hours later, I received five separate email messages with the confirmation numbers.

I opened my account late Saturday night. As of right now, a frugal site tells me I'm still receiving $400.00 back ($80 x 5). We will see how long that lasts.

I've bought a MO from WM using a Visa GC from Staples with no issue as recent as last month. I am hoping to do the same with the Sprint card. I believe the cards from Staples were from Meta Bank.

That's smart to do the money order.

I did virtual card. I'm hoping I can cash it out on venmo or something similar.

I took physical. Taking it to walmart for 70 cent money order. Then run to bank, unless bank will take it first.

They usually change promos on Friday's. Most likely the 10th but I have no specific knowledge of the exact date.

virtual prepaid cards can be used to buy walmart gift cards at walmart.com. $100 card gets you the equivalent of WM gift cards. so great for people who regularly shop at walmart or sam's club/gas.

Did you guys have KS plan with the 20GB hotspot added due to COVID19 response?

Mine was denied because they are saying KS plan is not hotspot enabled plan.

what happens if i dont use the prepaid card and its beyond expiry now. is it possible to claim the amount and i mean is there anyway to contact visa to get new card issued as the value is unused
best to use it before expiration to prevent any migraine headache.
