Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

To be absolutely safe, assume that they mean number never previously on Sprint. Acquiring new customers from other carriers is the intention of this expensive promotion for Sprint.

That said, it's possible they may have a more lenient standard, but no one will know for sure till 90-days from now.
Hmm.

When my first year of Free BYOD plan with Sprint ended I ported out, waited the mandatory 45 days, and ported the same number back in for another year of Free BYOD. No complications, no snafus, no fancy maneuvering necessary.

Is everyone else reading the promo terms in this manner?

On the other hand, they might be laughing all the way to the bank with $1500 in gift cards.

I have the same question when I add new lines under my account created 3 days ago, the $300 doesn't show. Did you find a way to have it fixed? Or who should we ask for help? Thanks.
I could not figure out and most likely will be denied even if you created your account a day or two before. So I am going to create a new account and will bring in another lines.

The consensus on this thread is that we:
  • Know for sure that 45-days qualifies as a new account
  • Don't know what Sprint's criteria is for "previously activated phone numbers may not be eligible for this offer"
Therefore, those that want to be absolutely sure that they will get the rebate are advised to minimize the possibility that their ported number may have been on Sprint before.

Yes. You can add now. Today Akhere added few lines on his existing account.

Make 3 lines with uplus and complete the porting. Call or chat CS to ask them to convert KS plan to UP and also ask them to add $10 discount for each line.
$300 rebate too? any tricks?

do you know if upgrading a device paid in full (tribute empire) will qualify for portal rewards?

Minus the $600+ paid for at least three months of service

everything is speculation right now.

If you decide to do it, I'd say get screenshots, that it was approved, and if you check with chat, that you get a screenshot.

I'm guessing, the sooner you do it, the better, who knows they may decide to deny tmobile ports down the road, though it might be unlikely.

that's just my opinion.

Yes. You are eligible but $300 promo doesn't appear in your cart. But you are good to submit in the portal after activation.
