Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

The Porting Dept does sometimes call pro-actively. Best resolution for this is to call one of the verified numbers for this dept: 866-437-1818 or 877-503-3269 and find out what they want.
They can port you in advance of receiving your phones, because they already know what IMEI and SIM numbers are for those phones.
When you talk to them also ask for your account number, which they can tell you. This will allow you to get headstart on filling reabate.
That 's a relief. Maybe I am too proactive to protect myself from scams. LOL

You can't 100% trust the caller ID number they can be spoofed. One time I received a spam call with caller ID showing my own number.

yes, but if you're thinking of porting your personal google voice number, I'd instead recommend buying a number on ebay and forwarding your calls to your new cell number.
Thx. Link to seller who sends fast?

Please help with a strange situation, I just received a call from Sprint ( home phone caller id displays 18882114727 a man with foreign accent said that he was calling from Sprint regarding phone number porting, I told him that my ordered phone won't be here until Monday, do I have to have phone on hand to do porting, he said I don" t need to wait for the phone to arrive to do porting. He also asked ssn number. As I understand I have to have phone with me in order to process porting, because I currently don't have phone's IMEI and sim card. I told him that I am in the middle of somthing , asked for a call back number, then he gave me this number which is different from the number he called 18775033269

FYI, I bought 5 phones the day before yesterday and the phones are on the way to be delivered by Monday. I googled that there were some scam going on with scammer asking information from people. Did this happen to anyone here? Do you think I have reason to suspect this? If so, just remind people here to be alerted. Any comment?
8775033269 is a Sprint number but he has no business asking for your SSN.

Call them back, give them the number(s) you are porting, if you haven't yet completed porting them. Nobody asked me for SSN when I called.

Thanks. I would prefer to help myself with porting unless I have to need human intervention.

Nothing wrong, I got same phone call the next morning. And the lady helped me finished the porting. Saved me time to call them..
When porting five lines, Sprint requires human contact for security of the account. That is why they call pro-actively—startling as that is!

You will not be able to self-service the porting online. You have to contact them at 866-437-1818 or 877-503-3269.

Like I said previously, you can do it in advance of receiving your phones, because they already have IMEI and SIM numbers for those phones. That way, as soon as you turn on the phones that you receive, they will activate with ported numbers.

When you talk to the porting desk, also ask for your account no., which will allow you to complete your $300 rebates submission right away.

You get the 300 for porting to sprint. The only thing extra you get for buying a phone is $45 cash back by clicking through the appropriate portal.

I tried to checkout with 5 new lines and LG phones, but after entering name and SS# got another screen that said "Your Order Requires Additional Processing". Tried calling the number listed but that went to Telesales and they just wanted to do a new order for me.

Previous Sprint customer, which is probably why I have a hangup. Is there any way to complete this online? With the stores closed not sure what my options are.

Good advice. I will try to call the numbers tomorrow. It's more comfortable to call than to be called. Nowadays there are too many scammers over the phone, you never know.

So If I place an order on 8th, and let say sim arrives on 10th. If I activate my Sims by April 15th, will it be a problem considering 9th is last date? Is 9th last date counts activation also? Or I have 10 days i.e till April 19th? Thanks
