Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

My device tax is $6.08 for the LG Tribute, making it 12.41% tax, the regular tax rate for general stuff is 8.875 in my area.

I'm on the Unlimited so its different.

Is that around $10-$11 on a $35 Kickstart plan? It's about $10 for someone in LA. Mine comes to $40.87 with taxes & fees. See attachment.

for some reason Sprint has flagged you. This didnt happen to me so not sure what to say.
Thanks, I figured, I previously had service with them about 3 years ago and got denied with credit check.

Tried again with a name variation and different address, got approved for 4 lines, but it was in store.

I'm not sure if it's worth it without the BF cashback.

what's the regular sales tax rate in your area?
9.15%, same as what Sprint charged me for the phone order.

so you got charged 12.41% tax on the phone during initial order? or was it adjusted to nyc rate when it shipped?

for me it showed "estimated taxes and fees" of 15.3% in the cart and i figured it would adjust to correct rate once i place the order like on many other websites.
but now my card has a pending charge with 15.3% rate sales tax. i'm wondering if the final charge has correct rate once the order is processed.

because as of now sprint looks to be charging me $96.22 in additional fake taxes.

That is what I got charged for the devices. I'm in Westchester so I presume NYC will be even more!

Hey... the government always get their share! Frown

Is there a known solution for this? I see that transaction was approved on my card.

$96.22 in taxes? How many lines did you open? Be careful opening too many, you might get flagged and denied the offers.

Or did you buy some real phones lol.

the government decided they'll take 8.875%, and sprint is trying to get away with charging me 15.31% instead, and 12.41% in your case. pretty sure they're doing something quite shady here.

Can someone please answer these. I do not want to make any mistake.

I have a no credit check account with my actual name and correct address on my billing credit card. I did only one line. Now planning to take credit check account with five lines. I will buy sims from ebay. Planning to buy 5 phones from Sprint (may be 2 pixel and 3 tribute).
Please let me know if I can use same name and address but different email and different credit card with same billing address. Would there be any problem?
Also to add 5 lines do I need to provide names and details of 5 different people?
Do I need to do this from a different IP address?
I am planning to use referral, Bfru CB site and then port.
Please let me know if there are any other things that I need to keep in mind.

Thank you in advance!
If you plan on ordering 5 lines at once then there is no way to have 5 different people's names on the account. Unless you plan on making 5 different Sprint accounts-1 with each name(not recommended and likely would get flagged by Sprint).

Probably some one time fees. Ask them for an itemized bill (please share).
