Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

using the sprint processing delay of ordered sims. The potential port in number still shows on order summary with byod but the line doesn't show up in the dashboard until the sim arrives and is activated

I'm in MI and was charged the correct tax for 2 preowned LG Tribute Empires, $5.88 (6% of $98)
edit, I did a search on google, and found:
Overall, customers in New York state pay an average of 24.36% in federal, state and local taxes on their wireless bills, according to the Tax Foundation
I bought 5 pre-owned LG Tribute Empire pre-owned phones from Sprint and am transferring ebay ATT numbers. Waiting to take receipt of phones, complete port-in and activation.
A friend has an unlocked iPhone with an IMEI that's compatible with this offer. After all my LG phones are ported and activated, if he gets a Sprint SIM can I replace one of the LG phones with his iPhone & number, without jeopardizing any of the promo terms and the $300?

Besides, my purchase today didn't include payment for a wireless service. I wasn't charged for Sprint's wireless services but only for the pre-owned phones I bought.
