Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

did you already have an order number? You dont need to activate online to get the cash back, just up to the point of getting an order confirmation number. If not then you probably need to sign up using a different SSN/Address/IP or no credit check.
it ends after I put in my credit info.
same thing happens when I do it as no-credit check.

you can try this from an earlier post

Call 888-788-0788, 1 or 2 (language choice), 2 for fraud, 2 to speak to someone. Ask them to check if you are on a fraud list that is preventing you from placing orders.

rep said there are 3 old accounts under my social so it's preventing system from running credit.
no way to place order online. wtf

those people who had sprint before. Place new order with no-credit check first. If you try to place new order with credit check it'll bump you out and you won't be able to do no-credit check option either.

looks like your only choice is do it under another person. Probably easier with no credit check. Good luck.

Sprint is freaking terirble.
The only email I received is an email regarding the order. Noting about account creation, PIN, etc.
I have a Sprint rep claling me that I can barely understand that is trying to start the port, but I don't have an account setup.

WTF! Anyone else in the same boat?

Your account number is already created in the system. You need to port at least 1 phone number to create a login to access your account. There is a SMS security check to that number when you create your account.

only way to port is to call.

from the wiki: To finish porting, call: Call: 866-437-1818 or 877-503-3269

Well, how do I do that if I ported eBay numbers? I don't have a way to check SMS.

Any idea, if I can change my port in number later? T-mobile just charged me for a complete new billing cycle as they don't prorate (even so they haven't generated the new bill, yet). So if I have to pay for two wireless services anyway and have enough phones... I thought about keeping Sprint and T-mobile (T-Mobile only for the rest of the month). Can I just get some Google Voice numbers and port them to Sprint... And later this month port my T-mobile Numbers to Sprint (replacing the Google voice numbers)?
I've always wondering if we can port a number later... but as has already been stated, dont take a chance and mess up your rebate by changing your phone number.

you need the sim cards, IMEI of the phones and the phone numbers/pin to port when you call. You dont need account number.

When you receive phone, call porting department and tell them you are ready to port, ask for acct number if acct number is not in packing slip for phones

Thanks for all the help guys. Luckily, I took screenshots of my cart and everything before checking out and the PIN was on it. I am going through the porting process over phone right now with AT&T eBay numbers. I guess when I get the phones, I just put SIM in and submit rebates?
