Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I was able to do that for two of my four TMo cards. It was limit one card per bank account.

You will earn account opening bonus as well 😀

For logging usage purpose, I have 3 phones on Sprint and one on FreeUp. On the first of the month, I use phone 1 to call phone 2, and phone 3 to call phone 4. Let them "talk" to each other for about 20 minutes then close the calls.
I just turn on YouTube for a couple of hours and in rapid succession text one of my other phones, and also make some calls to show usage.

Is this actually necessary? Seems silly?

Don't know if it's needed for a paying Sprint account, but it IS necessary for my free FreeUp line (250 minutes/month), no usage and you'll lose it.

I would call the rebate company itself and double check. It's always good to double check.
Thanks for the advice. I will double check with RebateHQ.

From what I understand, the rebate company is helping Sprint process the prepaid cards. Everything else is handled by Sprint itself, including authorization, customer info., etc..

I had filed the rebate claims successfully by using the promo signup (old) address. I will change the current/old address to my new address after I move. I should be able to receive the physical prepaid cards at my new address. According to the two Sprint reps I chatted with, this is Sprint's procedure. Sprint only sends out the prepaid cards based to the current address on Sprint's record.

I will, of course, double check with the rebate company just to make sure. I expect the rebate company to tell me to check back with Sprint. We shall see.

Thanks for the advice again.

If you file a Change of Address form with the Post Office, they'll forward mail & packages from your old address to your new address for 12 months (60 days for magazines). Shouldn't be a problem if the GCs are sent to your old address.

When you go to submit the rebates, the site asks for Purchase Date, not Activation Date. If you use 4/10 which is past 4/9 when the promo ended, it might disqualify your claim. I had one claim with Invalid Activation Date. I resubmitted it using the same date I used before and the Invalid Activation Date went away. See my post #7206. You might want to try the same thing. You'll know the next day or so what the result is.
Just tried a resubmission. Still get the same error of invalid activation date. I'm sure in entered everything correctly

Good suggestion.

As part of the move, change of address is in my moving plan.

Repped.

Is there any one facing issue in updating porting information online before phone is delivered?

Earlier it gave option to update correct porting information online ..... but now for this new line it says " Call 877-503-3269" for assistance" . This is coming from GV and nowhere we entered acct no or pin till now..

I had the same issue with one of my lines (from VoIP provider). I had to call Sprint to complete the port.

For T-Mobile, it's limited to one link at a time. After you're done transferring the 1st card, remove your bank info, and then link to the next card.

Kickstart plans are not eligible to get Employee discount. If you are in Unlimited and other plans, try to register with your work email to get employee discount. Discount amount YMMV.

Make sure you're looking at the resubmission (different claim number) and not at the previous claim.
