Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I got my first bill for 5 lines of U+. Looks okay on the $100 for 5 lines but did not expect to have another $42.47 added($18.65 surcharges and $23.82 tax). So 4 months at this rate will be $569.88 total. I'll be monitoring the rebates closely on this one...

I got the same info. She manually adjusted this months bill and said going forward it will be fixed. Also she said she contacted their promotions dept and they confirmed that my rebate submissions look good and I'll get the rebate as long as I keep my account open and paid. Said I can call/email her if for some reason I dont get the rebates. bounce
The only thing that slightly worries me is that all this is verbal from Marci's office, although I also know they have a pretty good record for their word. Anyone got an email from them saying we are approved?

Exactly... if someone has got all kinds of cash coming in from all over the place and don't want to put it in the bank, what better way to get rid of the 'problem' than by spending it. LMAO

CC utilization ratios can quite easily not be of benefit to a cardholder.

Embracing banks as a middle man in every consumer transaction of one's life engorges banks via cc fees resulting in unwittingly making banks wealthier, stronger, and increasing their political and judicial influence. Banks have managed to cast an ever increasing control over numerous aspects of contemporary life which they previously did not posses.

I receive no cashback/points/etc. for Sprint so no benefit whatsoever in using a cc.

And of course based on the recently initiated widespread unprecedented unemployment and grave economic outlook for the foreseeable future, anyone carrying a cc balance these days runs a higher likelihood of either accruing late fees/penalties and/or defaulting and taking a nasty credit hit and/or a judgement. During the last recession plenty of banks with little warning dramatically decreased cardholders' credit limits and/or increased interest rates (often both) which resulted in worse utilization ratios and left people with higher monthly payments often triggering defaults, or worse cascading defaults.
You've been warned.

How exactly is making a purchase/payment to an account registered in an individual's own name, for a common service, part of a public record (ones phone number), at a major corporation, untraceable?

As long as you have Cc on file with sprint and set it to auto pay, you will get the $5 discount per line, even your are not paying with this card. Sprint will charge your cc on file with auto pay ON automatically on due date when there is a balance due on account. If you already pay in advance with cash in store or other CC, and have zero balance on due date, your cc on file with auto pay ON will not be charged by sprint. you still get the discount as long as auto pay is on.
Undersrtood.

Quote from myyueng :
You can pay your monthly sprint bill of $135 3 times separately or a one time payment of $405($135x4) upfront in one store visit to cover 3 months of service(the 90 days active service requirement) and see if you need to stay with sprint for extra month for the rebate fulfillment period. If yes, then pay for the 4th month.
"Phone must be active for 90 days and remain in active and in good standing through the card fulfillment process." It seems to me that we still need to be with sprint when the rebate card is in the fulfillment period.
if I understand you correctly, if one made a large payment for three months up front in cash in the store, while retaining the same CC info on autopay as when one opened the account, even if no balance is owed for the first three months, one would still receives the $5 per account autopay discount? Then deal with whatever 4th month charges, if any, are billed.
No pro rated final month with Sprint I presume (in the event one receives the GCs xxdays into the 4th months billing cycle)?

Cc utilization can be managed. As long as you pay your cc balance before the statement is generated. You can credit card cash back either 1%to 2% everything or the 5% rotating

Any input regarding obtaining this after the account is opened? I registered for Perks a couple days after opening my accounts.
Also, is it required to have a credit check account for the Walgreens bonus?
