Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Well, here is my good/bad/worse news update for the day:

1. Informed Delivery e mail from USPS at 0721 hrs this morning showed I was getting three rebate cards. Good, as I can use them at Staples tonight to buy fee free Visa gcs.

2. Actually only received two of three … I'll give it till Monday for a resolution.

3. After call yesterday, according to Sprint website, one of my rebates went from pending to Denied! (Invalid sales channel) So from now on, I will find it hard to believe what the CS folks tell me on the phone.

Looks like I'll be spending more time on the phone today.

I've been using the 844 number as seen on the rebateshq.com site. Is there a better number I should be using??
my rebate status was showing earlier for 3 lines "Your rebate has been entered and is scheduled for final processing." Today i spoke to agent on number posted in rebateHQ and she mentioned they will email GC next week for all 3 lines. This evening i see status for one line changed to : "Your registration was denied because the sales location of the number you registered is not eligible for this offer. Frown What does it mean, should i have not called the agent ? since kind of have negative impact on status at-least.

Slickdeals noob question: Is there a way to search all comments for an answer? I don't see it an option.

Anyway I want to get a new phone, but my 90 days aren't up until the 21st. Can I still get a new phone that I own outright, switch the sim, and still maintain eligibility for the gc?

Yes, scroll back up to the first comment ON THIS PAGE, above it click on View Forum Thread. On the page that comes up, there's a Search function on the right-hand side.

My status changed to "Your rebate has been entered and is scheduled for final processing." yesterday on rebateshq and my 3rd month is ending on June 18. How long does it take to receive the card? Should I make the switch or wait for the card to come?

Your rebate has been entered and is scheduled for final processing

This is the status for last 20 days.
What is the next status? And how many days does it take based on experience?

Were you also having both message text lines before calling or what was ur status before the call?

That line probably had been there for a long time. The speedbump message is below it. You probably didn't notice it before.

The next status is either Approved/Fulfilled (not exact wording) or Denied. That decision comes at about the 91st day after activation.

Below is the status of my Line 1, activated on 3/13. The status changed to Invalid/Denied after the final decision was made on 6/13. I've called Sprint about it and the agent said she approved and expedited the card. But I don't see an Approved status yet.

Pending: entered and final processing
Approved: valid and final processing
Fulfilled: valid and up to 30 days —this is the card sent
Denied/Invalid: ineligible sales location

For YamahaRick and others who are interested in liquidating MCGC at Walmart via MO purchase.

"At Wal-mart, for some reason, when you swipe Mastercard gift cards it defaults to "credit" before giving you the option to put in a PIN, and the liquidation transaction (buy Money order, load Serve etc) gets declined since you need to be using debit with a PIN for those. The workaround is to hit the "cancel" button on the screen right after you swipe, then it lets you select debit and then put in a PIN. But the cancel button is only on the screen for a second or so, so you need to be quick about it."

I have loaded my BB with MCGC from Staples and I didn't have any issues. As I mentioned before, it never asks for PIN for MCGC. I looked at past transaction details at mcgift.giftcardmall.com. The transaction remains in pending state for a day or so and then gets posted. So the transaction is more like credit than debit. When I use MCGC at S&S and use PIN, the transaction is posted immediately as expected. So indeed Walmart is treating these MCGC cards as credit bcoz the posting is not immediate. But somehow it works for loading BB. Purchasing MO maybe different and need to use Fast Finger as mentioned above.

kenpet, I went to Walmart yesterday and asked the CS for money order. He was ready to start but when I asked whether can I use gift cards, he immediately said No. It requires Checking account or Saving Accounts debit card. I showed him that Debit word on my GC but he was not ready to accept. I will try another Walmart.
