Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I read somewhere that Textnow porting is free, could anyone confirm? If so, we won't even have to pay $1 for H20 sims.
if true. the number is ported and the SIM is deactivated. then have textnow reuse the SIM. anyone confirm ?

I could be overlooked, but I can't find the porting option on my free account. Possibly, you need a paid plan to enable that porting option. Anyone experience the same?

Nope. The final decision is not made until the 91st day from rebate submission. Even if you activated and submitted on the same day, the 91st day is the start of the 4th service period. By the time the rebate is approved, processed, and mailed, you'll be well into the 4th period. Even though the bill is not created/due until a few weeks later, you cannot avoid paying it.

Think so, I activated and submitted rebate on the same date, buy looks like I will be entering into the 4th months billing cycle when getting rebate. Thought i could have saved $125.

Yes, you can NOT avoid paying for 4 months even if you have the service for 3 months. Their first bill has no billing period. They generated 4 bills for the 3 months of service. Here's what happened to me:
Activated 3/24
1st: No billing period indicated, $41.52, Paid 4/16
2nd: 03/24 - 04/23, $41.49, paid 05/17
3rd: 04/23 - 05/23, $41.49, paid 06/16
4th: 05/24 - 06/23, $41.19, to be paid 07/17
Ported out 06/25

Same thing happened to a friend of mine in similar situation.

My accounts are like this also. I dont understand what that 1st bill is for if the 2nd bill's start date is also activation date. How can there be a bill before that?

Also, if you ported out 2 days after end date of 4th bill, does that mean you will pay a 5th bill?

I have the same billing period, with most recent bill being 5/24-6/23, due 7/17. I have NOT ported out yet - waiting for the sim from AT&T. I got my reward card two days ago. When I get my AT&T sim around 7/7 - should I port out asap, or it does not matter any longer? am I screwed for the 5th month?! TIA for any suggestion!

My friends acct has this message " Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing" on rhq from 3-4 days.. Can he expect it fulfilled tomorrow considering it was a long weekend from 3 days and they might have not processed it or is there anything to worry and call?

Don't pay attention to the "billing period"; the way Sprint uses it is confusing, Just think about "service period", which starts on your 1st day of service and runs through the 30th or 31st day, then another service period starts. The bill is due about 3 weeks into each service period.

Port out ASAP before they generate the 5th bill, otherwise you have to make 5 payments!

That is one crazy billing practice. They should bill for the actual service period!

Because these postpaid service providers bill your 1 month in advance....
So for service cycle of 7/1 to 7/31, normally it is due about one week before the cycle closes, so the bill is due around "7/23 to 7/25," but the bill is generated on 7/1 with billing cycle dated 6/1 to 6/30....
