Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Snippet of my chat with sprint representative:

"You : and there would not be any charges for making International calls from our phones
Nadine D. : Yes yes that is correct ."

May be the person lied to me.
How can I get this waived off? It's huge amount.
Is there any way I can escalate this?

Thanks.
Depending on which countries you called and what additional details that the Sprint rep told you, please see what JaTaN posted below and see if it's applicable to you. hug

Could someone be kind enough to share the porting process to H20 (what info is needed and where can i find those info)? Also, is this the H20 Sim that is being talked about? Thanks.

Yes that's the sim
Process is simple. Buy h2o sim, port out the number on h2o. Number will be ported in few minutes. No need to fund it if you want it to die. Others please chime in if incorrect

Good find, Seems to fits the described situation. I can't fathom paying a phone bill of $8550. EEK!
Hp, why don't you donate half of your GC stash, it'll cover half of the bill..... 😄

Could I port the number to TMobile from sprint on their $15 plan or is a hop to H2O needed before coming into TMobile?

I ported my 5 numbers (Unlimited Premium plan) on March 30 under this BYOD program.

I got free international calling enabled for my account. We made international calls and there was NO charge for that since March 30 untill May 30.

I received new bill today for the month of June and I was shocked to see the bill of around $8550.

Chat representative is not able to find why it was not charged last month's bill but charged this month.

Any suggestion how to escalate this issue?

I have sprint representative chat id where we discussed that international calls would be free for my account as a proof.

Thanks.
Sorry to hear it. Sprint offers $15 add on per line per month. Since you were given wrong info by the rep, Probably ask sprint to adjust/backdate your bill to add this feature to the lines that make the international calls. Obviously you can avoid the $8500 bill if you add this to your lines and if you were informed correctly...

Sprint International Connect: Call & Text add-on -$15/mo.

Pairing the International Connect: Call & Text add-on with a qualifying plan lets you:

Unlimited calling to Mexico and Canada (landline and mobile)
Call landlines in more than 90 countries without additional charges
Call mobile devices in 65 countries without additional charges
Calls to Mexico and Canada are FREE
Unlimited international texting to more than 180 countries

I will definitely enable $15/mo option going forward.

But the question is what to do about the last month's $8550 bill.
How to get it sorted out?
Is there any place where I can complain about this? I have chat id number and the reference number to give as proof.
Social media?
What will happen if I don't pay this huge amount?

Thanks.
