Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Yes. I bought two sims with $15 off and missed to order one more. Now last line is pending in Sprint.
Did you encounter any of the issues I listed? did you activate the sim without creating the acct?

Yes. I encountered the issue during my second line port in. First one was activated immediately. Followed the below steps:
1. Selected activate option and entered my sim#.
2. On next page only I created new account and entered all the details.
3. Port in was success within few minutes.

For second sim, I selected Add device under my existing ac and entered SIM details, it didn't move on the Pick a plan page. After chatted with rep, he scheduled a call back and tech person completed the port in which took 30 minutes. Now both lines are active in Tracfone.

Thx. This is what I am going to try today. I won't add the new sim to my acct. I will activate the sim as is and then later on I will add that number to my acct if everything works fine.

FWIW, I already had my account set up a long time ago. I added two TF SIMs (with $15 plan) to my account, activated the 1st one with a new number (not porting in), its bundled units/days got loaded. I then activated the 2nd one with a transfer from the 1st one. Now the 2nd SIM has 1000 units in each talk/text/data bucket and 60 days of service. I'm using it to test an LG Q7+ that I just bought. Once I'm done testing, I'll add the 3rd SIM to the account, activate it with a transfer from the 2nd SIM, then ask a rep to combine all the units/days to my main phone on TF.

Has anyone who activated after 4/9 gotten their "invalid" rebates fixed yet? I noticed mine changed back to invalid yesterday and I've given it a day to fix itself but so far nothing. I assume nothing will happen over the weekend, so should I start calling in now or wait until monday?
Wait for 24hours after u called them.. I would suggest to call them again after 24hours if it does not change.. This is to confirm if new rep really see any updates done by old rep yesterday.. Because if yesterday rep did nothing then u will waste waiting 3days unnecessarily.. By calling today again u will atleast get some update and can pass weekend with some satisfaction

So, again do we need to do anything additional (call, email, etc.) after the port-out? or will Sprint cancel the line automatically to avoid any future charges (other than pending 4th bill) Thanks!
Porting will automatically cancel your line with previous carrier

How to know if line is cancelled: it no longer shows on your account...

I only received 3 congratulatory emails out of the 5 rebates, is that normal or should i be calling about it?
Check the rebate status on the sprint tracker...if you see "valid" for all 5 lines, just wait for the card fulfillment center to send your the cards either to your email(virtual) or to your house(physical)

Sweet, mine is approved.

I've actually been happy with Sprint's service. Wish I could get the $25 BB plan though.

Thanks to both of you.

Here is an update for the 3rd SIM.

I didn't add this to my acct and it went very smoothly. Just 2 minutes total. Skipped the acct creation step.

So lesson learn is don't add sims to your acct except the first one....you can add the numbers later to your acct.

Does it depend which citi card it is?

I did try with my citi access more card and it did not work few days ago.. The citi rep keep getting error from bank he said
doesn't look like it depends on which card. it worked for me on citi thank you, diamond preferred and double cash cards

while submitting the secure form over the chat, i tried once without entering the bank name and that's when the citi rep said error from bank. next time tried with the name MetaBank and it went through
