At this price point we should be seeing 1660 Super based systems. These Rx 580 systems were okay around the holidays but you can definitely build something better for $650

Correct. This is a $550 build especially if they used builds from deals (rx 580 $135 from Newegg Ebay listing, and 2600x $80 from Microcenter in Feb).
I would even just have a 1600AF from Amazon right now at $85 for a budget build like this, which is $40 less from that 2600 for basically same performance. https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Proces...094&sr=8-1
Another thing I would change from your partpicker list would be that storage. Must have been a glitch or click mistake since that 1tb HDD is price at $113. Would change it to the WD 1tb for $40. So that and the 1600AF is $70 + $40 = $110 less from your total, bringing it to $650.
Technically can be upgraded to a 5600xt/2060/5700 but that would mean having a better case and more fans, and skimping on the RAM and storage, and might overshoot $650.

Yeah I used comparable parts to what they had here, down to the case, but yeah that HDD was 39.99 this morning when I made it
And I'm right there with you man, for my money there's no better CPU than the 1600AF for the money Unless Micro Center sells the 2700x for $140 some time again in the near future
I'm not a tech so can someone tell me if this is a good deal for slightly gaming?
This PC is good for 1080p gaming and 1440p at medium settings. I'd say if you can wait another month or two, you can find something better. If you need it today, this is a good price.

Add keyboard and mouse ~ $20-$50. I think this is a good, but not great deal.

What games do you play?
League of Legends and Overwatch, I want stable fps for 144hz monitor. I don't mind if I have to use lowest settings.
It would work if you put it on the lowest settings. As for how good of a deal, add up the prices of the parts. Seems like a decent deal.
I think it'll play higher, no? These games aren't too hard on cards.

I wont even consider this a good deal. This is a $550 build IMO.
