But, if you look at the images you can see wires coming out of the back in one of those images. I believe these are indeed wired and not solar. But, YMMV I'm not an electrician or anything sooo yeah. But, I'd be willing to bet its not solar out of the box.

So maybe the motion senor is solar powered which makes no sense at all to me but the light itself is still grid powered.

EDIT EDIT: okay now I'm even more confused I ended up reading more replies to that question and one from Honeywell themselves... "Honeywell Lighting by IDC
