At sale price, this 12000 is currently $100 more than the 9000 on sale. Not quite as hot as the other deal and it isn't a high back with head rest. I guess $300 over 10 years is alright by me though.
Odd thing though: they have a version with ergonomical in the name that looks exactly the same, but costs more. Anyone find the differences?

From what I can tell, the only difference is the more expensive one is greenguard certified. This one is prolly old stock replaced by that one and otherwise same chair?
Edit : Never mind, a comment above links to another comment that answered my question.
My local office furniture warehouse dealer sells refurbished ones for $450. To be honest though, I have the Herman Miller Aeron at work and it was just ok. I had the C version (ruined my posture as it was too large) for the first 1.5 years working before finding out that there was a B version (MUCH better) lying around at some empty conference rooms, but it was still a little uncomfortable due to the broken gas lift and the bottom edge of the seat digging into the back of my legs.
I'm guessing that since this isn't a mesh bottom, it may be more forgiving for the leg, although the mesh is better in the summer.

The 12000 model for $300 seems ok since the deal on the 9000 is no longer available. If you need a chair now this may be a good choice. If you can wait, the 9000 model appears to be a little better value.
I haven't sat on one with a headrest though but being only 5'4" I think the headrest would be too high anyways. Been waiting for a deal on the 12000 but still want to test one with a headrest to prevent buyers remorse.
Inventory is very inaccurate. I would not do delivery as an option. Your order will likely get delayed and you will not get any updates. None of the lines of communication work, so you won't be able to get a hold of anyone.
Best bet is to do store pickup if you want to gamble.
But after major issues with multiple orders and complaining on their FB page, I was able to get a chair and they gave me a $100 gift card.
