anyone elses order get messed up this month?

I was expecting 7 packages today. first 4 got delivered to an unknown address. I scoured the neighborhood looking for a matching porch that they left on the photo, no dice and it was pouring rain so my packages would have been destroyed.

Amazon refunded me obviously

had to call back and get another refund because they failed to refund me on the most expensive item.

2nd delivery expected by 8pm as stated by the customer service rep. 8:30pm comes no package. look on the site and the order was not even picked yet.

customer service again, 3rd time, rep apologizes and says when the items come in stock we will have them delivered. yet no timeline given. spent 3hrs today on chat. Rep says he will email me and when I receive the items he will issue a small credit. never received an email.

I've never experienced a SS item, especially 3, be available on their site yet rep tells me they are out of stock.

So dumb question as you can't add Toilet Paper. Has anyone in the past couple weeks even gotten theirs if it was on their lists before they shut off the ability?

I have that in my Subscribe and Save items, you can't place a new order, but last week when it came time for my S&S items to be delivered, they actually delivered me this case of TP! I was very surprised.....I'll be keeping that subscription active.

We've had our S&S set up for a case of TP every three months for several years now but our April order still shows the TP as being delayed so I'm not hopeful that it will arrive.

I see that disclaimer a lot on Amazon, but I also have ordered a couple of things that wouldn't be considered "essential", and they have arrived far sooner than the original estimates.

It could also backfire on Amazon because a couple of things that I would have ordered that I didn't want to take a chance on having to wait for I just ordered from Walmart.

Everything I order is about a week out (I just ordered a USB cable 4/27 and they are saying delivery Saturday 5/2) - normally this would be next day or perhaps 2 day.

Other items, like an odd 10mm-1.5 LH nut (string trimmer) they were telling me a month out.

You can't tell me that they are shipping SO much TP and hand sanitizer that it's overwhelming their system and they can't fill other orders at the same time.

Majority of my orders have shifted toward Walmart fulfillment now. I wanted to service my daughter's vehicle with fluids, filters, and common maintenance items (thermostat, spark plugs etc). Not waiting to do this mid May.

Agreed

No kidding. I'd usually use Amazon for a couple things but if items they should be able to deliver in 1-2 days are going to take a week or longer, I'm more apt to go into a store locally and try to get it.

The aforementioned USB extension - is holding up some work I am doing, I didn't want to wait until next week for it so I checked locally. WM had "limited stock", and I usually don't head that way until Friday anyway, so I would up ordering from Amazon anyway - but if a local store had it, you bet I'd just go there.

Have you actually ordered any of the items that say they won't arrive for a long time though? That's what I was saying--some things I ordered showed over a week out for delivery but they still arrived within a few days. I still wouldn't count on that though and if I need something sooner I look for other options.

As far as what they are dealing with in warehouses I have no idea. Maybe it's all bullsh*t or maybe they have excessive absences and procedures for sanitizing and social distancing that severely hurt efficiency.

I know all of the things put in place where I work was having a significant impact on production along with a lot of added cost. We shut down yesterday and I am laid off currently until demand for steel comes back up.

I have the same situation with a S&S subscription for TP set up for every three months. When the last one showed up in February I remember thinking I should have canceled that delivery because I still had quite a bit left. Then a month later when the great toilet paper shortage was underway I was glad I hadn't. I decided to keep the next delivery for May in place but figured there was a good chance it wouldn't arrive. A couple of days ago I got an email saying it was out of stock. Then today I got another email saying it will arrive next Tuesday on schedule. I doesn't show being shipped yet but it seems like maybe it will arrive after all.

I still see idiots in the store buying TP and paper towels. There is no farking way that all these people go through so much TP that nearly everyone has to buy a huge lot of it (this was BJ's, so the qty's are huge) all the time. I wish they would learn that panic buying/hoarding only begets more of the same. If it gets to the point where there is TP on the shelf, you'd be less likely to buy it because you'd have confidence it would be there when you REALLY needed some. Same goes with sanitizer (I am seeing this more and more widely available - BJ's had an entire pallet of it 5 feet high this AM), gloves (really, does everyone need 1000's of gloves?), etc.

On the positive side, I go shopping once a week typically on Fridays (there's a hole in my daily vomit of zoom meetings to actually go out) and the stores are looking more and more back to normal. It's not quite there yet but getting close. I recall walking into BJ's a few weeks ago and something looked off - then I realized it was that NONE of the upper racks had pallets/product in it - which made the store much brighter. Now that's starting to fill up.

Funny note this AM I was walking through and noticed an ENTIRE AISLE of ramen laugh out loud no doubt this was in hot demand at one point, the automated inventory system compensated, and wound up buying enough to supply every college in a 100 mi radius laugh out loud I can just imagine the workers' faces when they were stocking it!

Heck no. Every delivery I get an out of stock notice and then the order gets cancelled. I was wondering if they are selling the TP and other staples out BEFORE they ship to S&S folks. Or do they sell none at all right now? At least a walmart I can hit it just right and buy a pack here and there. Sorta stings to know I've been subscribed for over a year and yet can't get any of these items delivered.

My TP arrived on the day it was originally scheduled for. One other S&S item arrived a day early and a couple arrived a day late. One is still on the way and will be about a week late.
