Come on. TF, HSN, QVC, and posts from Tracfone users on Slickdeals, and all over the web are VERY CLEAR that these bundles are ANNUAL, not monthly. You can hardly see an offer without dozens of newbies asking this question AND getting the answer that it's ANNUAL. You can read.

Will this work with a T-Mobile SIM card (in the description it says "Mode: CDMA" but will it also work with GSM?)?

I just want the phone and already have a T-Mobile family plan, so I don't care about any minutes or included freebies.

EDIT: FYI, the title says "Moto G7", but this phone is the Optimo, which I believe is a prepaid version of the G7 Power. I noticed when I saw it had a 5000 mAh battery.

The specs clearly list CDMA+GSM bands...

The real question is if this phone is unlocked, e.g can you use it on a Sprint MVNO.

Will this work on TotalWireless out of the box? I know it's a TracFone company.

Edit: Ordered this and was able to apply HSN10. It said $95 and change and I hit submit. Order confirmation page now says $105 as well as my email. Make sure you get a screen shot before you submit order because I didn't.

Yes. You can just activate it on TW using the SIM card that comes with the phone.

However, if you do that, you'll lose the included 1500/1500/1500/1Year bundle of TF service that comes with the phone, and probably also the other freebies that come with the purchase.

Thanks, I just want the phone. Are the minutes not an activation card I can just sell on eBay? That's how these things have worked in the past.

you are correct. This is NOT a G7. It is actually the G7 optimo power. Main differences are screen resolution, RAM, storage, battery and camera (I think)

No experience with HSN items but the description on their page says that promo service is non transferable and will only work with phone purchased.

I have the motorola g6 tracfone, guess it's time to upgrade. This one has the longer battery and bigger display and the fingerprint reader on the back. I probably wouldn't get a new phone just yet but since it has the tracfone year of service I'm going for it. I end spending about $10 per month on data or texts added on when I run out and that's pretty good for a monthly phone bill.

Edit: Comparing those two phone I think I lose the resolution, g6 is full HD this is just HD, but oh well.Processor is the same. Oh also the g6 has dual front and facing 8 and 5 camera. So I lose that as well but I don't take many selfies or pics. Bigger screen and longer battery is more important to me.

this or any cheap moto phones have wifi calling. VZW Service is becoming atrocious in my home lately. Covid related? I have a cel2spot router too.

I did the HSN e6 combo and it went flawless, took me about 3 months til I finally activated and the minutes were attached to the phone/sim, was easy transferring a number in and activating, it's worked well as a secondary burner. I use google voice on it and wifi mostly, 100mb/mo is still nearly undoable even in the lockdown but there are ways to stack the yearly sims apparently (havent tried). I was able to use tether tho they say they don't support it. From my thread, the device is said to be locked for 1 year, some say you need to renew before they'll unlock (so the first year is considered complimentary, renewing plan gets you past the crux is what I heard but YMMV)

My girl has the Moto G7 and it's been an enjoyable device for her, it looks like a flagship phone with full screen, tiny notch, but it is getting a little slow on her after a year of use. The camera is mediocre, biggest complaint.

Edit: Hers is still on Android 9 as well, I read that Moto has started rolling out 10 to the G7 play in some countries but has not yet released 10 to the g7, just checked for updates on her phone and Feb security update was last release.

Say what? I see CDMA listed in two different places nothing about GSM

"The camera is mediocre, biggest complaint."

Install Google Camera app port for the G7 and the camera works much better.
