This is not that great of a deal for a base model. The absolute version (with more attachments and the soft roller head) has been this low before, and multiple times at $250 (including straight from dyson.com with the extra 3 free attachments).

Tip - if you are concerned about battery life, there are many aftermarket batteries with higher capacity available on Amazon. You can just buy the V6 w/ soft roller and buy a bigger battery for less than $20. You get a cheap dyson with a battery life of the more expensive versions Smilie Yes, there are additional features on some of the others, but a V6 with extended battery life for cheap fit all of my needs.

I have this one - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dyson.../206614767 and got it because at the time of purchase it was the lightest from all ball models on the market (about 12 lbs vs 19 lbs). Weight was a big deal because I had to carry it upstairs and downstairs. It doesn't have HEPA filter but the amount of dust it collects - I could care less about HEPA really. I have it for about 5 years now and it still makes me happy.

no, all Ball models has a cord. V models are cordless.

Because Dyson Small Ball was first Smilie And even at 12 lbs its still not my first choice to carry upstairs without need. V11 is good enough, so if I had it first I would't buy Ball for sure. However, if I would of had anything below V11 I would def get a Small Ball as V7-V10 models don't have enough battery life to last for my entire house.

I would try another representative... Others reported they were able to buy using coupon so there is a hope! Price at BB&B with 20% coupon is a great deal. I paid 499 at Costco half a year ago and don't regret I overpaid - this is how much I like V11
