When does AT&T billing start? Shipping date, delivery date or activation? Received SIMs today but trying to wait till Monday to activate to reduce double billing days.
Billing starts the day the SIMs are activated. Make sure you login and check to see that your lines aren't split into two plans, which will increase your bill amount.

I have three orders so I know I will have to consolidate. But I was told that I can't do so until activation. True or false?
I don't know, because I activated my SIMs the day I received them. Logged in, saw 4 lines got split into two plans, chatted with a rep and got them consolidated.

My luck quickly ran out: Now, "Please call us at 877.782.8870. If we don't hear from you, your order will be canceled.". I called and nobody @ ATT had a clue and was bounced between departments. What a nightmare!
Just like everyone else, my order was cancelled. ATT really sucks in a big way.

How can you be so sure about they will honor the one activated before 14th? They will just say the terms is limited at 2 rewards, the one before and after 14 are the same promotion with same promotion terms now.

Especially I want to leave AT&T as soon as I get the promotion, don't have the luxury time to argue with AT&T to pay for extra monthly fee.
There are many things you can try:
Email the Corp executives
File complaint with BBB and FCC
Dispute bill charges with your CC

(hopefully you were not offered bill credits of $250 per line as replacement for reward card) you can jump off the boat if you are feeling that ATT will not honor the old term for everyone.
have some faith on them.

Why the hell would they cancel orders without at least reaching out to the customer via email or phone? They could at least request additional documents before canceling. AT&T is a joke at this point. Way to many complaints in just this 1 thread.

In live chat a few days ago (in answer to my question about activating later), the rep told me the sims will automatically activate 7 days after receipt. So it appears you could just wait 7 days. Can you tell us folks who never got their orders to go through what you did differently on your last try so we can all learn? Thanks.
I went to store to verify my identity right after placing my second order, but even then order got cancelled. So when I called the support they said, since the order was placed before verifying my identity it got cancelled and asked me to place a new order and that order went through. But after that I ordered twice planning on merging the lines later but those orders got cancelled and I didn't bother to go through the process again.

I was able to activate my account by going to the store where the store rep had to call the customer service and got hopped to multiple departments and finally the porting department was able to activate it. It took 1 and half hour for the store rep to finally get to correct department. He recommended that if anyone have issues like mine call the porting department and when it prompts to enter the phone number provide all 0s instead of the real number and then it will transfer to the agent to speak with otherwise it will route to a different department.

Hear ya.

I've had many ATT service throughout the years but have been cancelling one service after one because there are superior products at better price in this market.

ATT is a gigantic size company and yet they do not work their power for the customers but just to enrich themselves (and few executives)

I'm never going back to ATT wireless and not doing promo.

I called customer service as I had the same issue and they said it will take two business days before you can create the account.

Unless they changed something, I created my online account access on the same day I activated my SIMs (May 6). Never needed the access code to create one. If you want to CHANGE the access code, then you have to wait 2-3 days after activation to do that.

Are these cancellations happening only for numbers purchased from eBay or are they happening to regular ports too?

Regular ports work just fine. I did 5 lines from a 2 year old metropcs account no issue
