Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

Thanks to the many posts in here. I've been a LONG time FiOS customer currently in the tail end of my latest triple play (75/75) contract and didn't want to do a credit pull so I called to see what they would do for me. The answer was not much, but the instructions to get me set up for ONT based service were invaluable.

I was able to drop TV and switch to 200/200 for $50/mo month-to-month, with no termination fee and the service is speed testing consistently at 300/300. May not be the great deal that everyone else is getting but an extra $10/mo for 300/300 is fine with me, plus I'm saving a bundle by dropping my triple play bundle.
I usually switch back and forth between optimum and Fios once their triple play promos are over for me.

As of late, the main issue was the rental fees.
so a $75 triple play price ends up being a lot more especially if you have to rent all those boxes.
Modem fee is about $10-12
Set top box, same thing.

I finally canceled the fios triple play and stayed with internet only for the $40 per month.

I am helping out other family members so they can save on their monthly bill.

One of my uncles is paying $180 a month for triple Play with optimum. 2 tv boxes and 1 modem. Ridiculous.

Thanks. This is fabulous. Follow the instructions EXACTLY and it will work. At first I thought I was ineligible, because it wanted to charge me more, but i was just trying to upgrade wrong. Don't be me, follow the instructions! 😆

Hi everyone, was hoping for some help. They charge a $15 a month router fee. What router would you all recommend I buy to circumvent paying this? Have a relatively large area it needs to cover. The stock one provided by my current provider works well but I don't see a name on it. Thanks so much.

One of the stock one is G1100.
I have purchased 3 of these on Ebay since I have internet only and wanted to avoid that fee.

They have been working fine. Down the line, I would like to purchase a router that has more range but for now I am good.

The router in one of the locations is in the first floor. It reaches to the basement, 2nd floor and the attic.

Thank you! Now I know what to shop for. Can't find a new one it seems. Will keep looking. Thanks again!

I've been using TP-Link Archer A7 AC1750 and pretty happy with it. It's placed in the basement of a 4500 sqft house and I had no issues streaming 4K videos on the 3rd floor.

Oh that looks even better with great reviews on amazon!! And only $65! I think I might have to give this a shot. Verizon wants an additional $15 a month for a router. This would pay for itself fast. Thank you!

I think I'll go new. Had a bad experience with a refurb before. Thanks again! Really really appreciate the help!

My old 100/100 plan expired a few months ago so I now pay $54.99/month just going month to month. Everytime I click on the "OrderNow" under Mix & Match it says "We're sorry, but your current service or service area is not eligible to mix and match plans at this time". I've called Verizon numerous times about getting back to the $39.99 price and everytime they tell me it's not possible. Is cancelling and scheduling new service a day later my only option? I'm nervous to do that since I work from home 100% thanks to covid.

Was finally able to get an install date and it was a quick turnaround. The ont was fine but needed to be connected with Ethernet not coax so they ran a cable where the coax was before. The installer thought my router wouldn't work so he suggested to install theirs and to return it once I got my own. After he left I just followed directions I found online to connect my router and it's working perfectly after I did a hard reset, so didn't need to get new equipment. Getting over 300 up and down speeds. Now just need to return the Verizon router. Also need to see what to do with the old actiontec router that I got on that $6 deal on here years ago that I was using as a bridge. If anyone in RI wants it DM me.

Try calling and say you want to cancel they might do something for you but last time I tried that when we had the local channels cable plan they couldn't do anything and I had to do the new account way and we ended up going internet only. They even helped me through it lol, guess a lot of people do it that way. But likely would lose internet for a bit of time. If you have unlimited use your phone hotspot as a backup.

Anyone else having an issue with these clowns? Supposed to be $39.99, but every month, there is an issue and they charge me $49.99.. They killed my autopay one month, next month some other excuse about billing cycles. I lost it on a rep tonight. They refused to credit me the $10. Its not the money, its the damn principle.

UGH
