These were 49 dollars when the tool was included. I got a few when the deal was going on. Impact and battery set for 99. Wonder if it will come back.

Yes. HD has been running this set with a free tool for $99/ $109/ $129 multiple times in the last year. I have a fair amount of tools because of this type sale. If you choose so, you could cancel the battery part of the order and get the tool at the prorated cost.

It ran 2 years ago for a pretty lengthy time too. It has come back in a couple of varieties, sometimes they put up pre-packaged bundles and sometimes it was wide open season with pick you free tool, return/cancel the batteries for pro-rated discount... I'm sure it will come back again in some form

Sad... I have spent a buttload on new tools in the last 2ish weeks, hoping to PM it or something. I guess maybe that's why they skipped it. HD is slammed the 18 times I went through looking for more pvc...

After the extended free tool bundle offer from October to January, i am pretty much done with my Ryobi tool collection. I also got 5 more batteries during that period of time including a 9Ah one. I missed the Ryobi Day last year due to a trip. I was hoping to get the dual battery sliding miter saw this year originally, but I got the Metabo wired one for $149 last month.

Someone posted this pic from a store in Georgia advertising this battery set with a tool for $99. Speculation was it was for Memorial Day but who knows.
