Being that it includes a battery and charger makes this a good option for those looking for a cordless tool. I have not been able to find other cordless tools offer something in this price range.

How much worse than Makita cordless sliding do you ppl think this is? It's like 1/3 the cost even with the Makita on sale

don't really need cordless, just broke my dad's 20 year old miter saw because I wanted to change the blade and the bolt snapped.

is it better to get this or a 10" corded one on sale?

10" corded. Unless you buy an extra battery or two this thing is worthless. Imagine using it for a project and the battery dies. Now you're sol.

This would probably be okay for someone new to using a miter saw or a DIYer that want's to do an occasional project.

Your point? It still takes an hour or two to charge the battery. Still a major disruption.

Anyone actually use this? I'm curious how it compares to other cordless miters, like maybe the 24v Kobalt. I'm not a carpenter, but I'm constantly dragging my old beat up miter saw and extension cords up and down my property for various DIY projects. I love the idea of the portability here, if it works...

So just go charge the battery and go do something else. Do you go to every cordless tool thread and say this same thing?

Nope. Only the ones where people ask a question to the community for advice on which option to choose. I was trying to help. What's your excuse?
