This weekend I did make it to Mackinac City. I was able to visit with the nieces.... one of them had their open house for graduation. It was flash back time for me. The real kicker is that it's only been 13 years since that time for me. Yeah, I was an uncle at a young age, which seemed very odd.
I did see that I missed out on the Red Bull air show. I was thinking of going to that this year. But, I never did get tickets for it. Good thing I guess. It was more fun up north.
Well, another nice day.

I was always happy to be older than them because being a younger uncle would have been really odd for me.
It was nice seeing people that have left or retired from the company though.
Kind of like a reunion of people from the begin part of my career.
It was nice seeing the faces and smiles, and even hugs, from people that were little more than coworkers, a boss, or former employee of mine again. It makes me think about our earlier talks about how you never know how you touch people. It shouldn't be too much of a surprise, I guess, that these people that you often spent more time with than at home would be happy to see you again and be warm (even if they weren't at the time you worked together).
I've had enough of funeral homes for awhile though.
Geez - so slow in here lately. I miss you all.
