Got the confirmation email immediately after that stated the changes and fees. No equip fee in the charges. Total monthly price with tax shows $54.62

My 12 month promo expired last month and they charged me $80 for this month.
I called them to cancel the connection and they sent me to the Loyalty team and that guy gave me the 1 Gbps plan for 49.99 + free HBO Max !
Now, the only issue is, no matter what I do, I can't get more than 500 Mbps on a wired connection directly to their Gateway !!!
Tried everything with the Tech support lady (e.g. power recycled the white Fire Optics box, then Gateway BG210-700 and finally even my laptop) but nothing more than 500 Mbps !
She said they have to send a tech person and I was like..."wait a min, just send me a new Gateway and I'll replace it myself, no need to send someone home"...lol
I can live with 500 Mbps for now but there is no way I can live with Corona...lmao
The last time I had AT&T, it was a nightmare to return it as the UPS store didn't have my account number. I eventually had to ship it back on my own with a shipping label from USPS.

Tried calling to continue order and they claimed to have no info on my order or why I got the message. They wanted to run my credit AGAIN in order to try and set up service.
Hit me with a hard inquiry but no reasoning telling me why I could not proceed with my online order.

Anyway, I have a question. Never really cared that much about speed, wish I would have paid more attention, because I'm only seeing 350-400 max download on wifi. I'll check Ethernet tonight. I live in a 2 level house, 2000 square feet. We've ALWAYS had trouble with wifi and things like Facebook, pages stalling out especially on Facebook. Are most of you able to get what you need, WIFI wise, out of one router/wifi or combo? I mean I have the ATT wireless unlimited data, too, so it isn't a deal breaker but its aggriavting. I just have whatever ATT installed last year, haven't even really looked. Thanks for any suggestions...just curious if one router does the trick for most people with 2000 sqt homes...well hell, 2 rooms away I end up taking off wifi when getting on facebook, that seems ridiculous.
