Wired 940+. Wifi depends on location and device but this is limited by my router. Sometimes I get 400 when I'm close w9t my iPhone 10 XS Max. Typically it's about 150-200.

Using the Google Wifi pucks first gen and a Netgear GS108 switch.

So the way he hooked it up was Gateway > Switch > Router (in the master bed).

Because of this, devices were getting handed IP address by the gateway and my router. I was having the same issue with you where sites were taking a while to load. I believe this resolved it but I have to test some more.

I moved my router into the cabinet, so now it is Gateway > Router > Switch > Leading back throughout my house. If I go into my gateway, it only shows one device connected, which is the router. Before it showed everything in my house.

Thanks for the reply. I have two devices in my house -- the router/gateway and the fiber modem. Perhaps there's some sort of configuration setup causing that same issue for me. What happens is I will do a Google search, hit enter, and then it will take several seconds to resolve it. I always thought it was on the ISP's end, but a setting somewhere would make more sense.

Did you set up all of the firewall settings on the ATT gateway yet?

It should be

Firewall Status
Packet Filter Off
IP Passthrough On
NAT Default Server Off
Firewall Advanced Off

Passthrough should be DHCPS-Fixed and you should be selecting your router under the MAC address field.

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone had any luck with same situation as mine, basically I have been their gigabit internet customer for almost 2.5 years and I called and asked for loyalty department and was told I am not qualified for this promo as I already subscribed to the gigabit internet unlimited plan. When I threatened to cancel the service, they didn't budge.

Has anyone leaving in Atlanta area had much luck in situation similar to mine? Should I give another go?

My ISP is MetroNet, not AT&T. But it is fiber regardless. The gateway/router is a Zyxel EMG3425-Q10A.

Thank you OP! I got the deal and SAVEMORE did get me an additional 100 dollar gift card. Wifi gets you anywhere between 300 or 400. I was paying Spectrum 44.99 for 200 mbps.

Some users did extra steps of enabling cascade router, but I didn't do it and setup is still working for me.

Ok not AP mode? Since my original post, i connected the router in AP mode to the gateway with only a smaller ethernet chord and now I can consistently get ~650 down and 950 up using the orbi app test on the router.

I did try the pass thru previously and didn't get near that result. Maybe I'll try again using the instruction you have and will also do a proper power down/reset on the entire network as well.

I've had att wireless since 2007. Past few years they've been a nightmare.

Charter where I live is reasonable for 200 mb. $65 a month.

so jealous of you guys get to order this. Still stuck with Comcast even though on the map it says AT&T fiber is available in the city. I guess it's simply not available at my address or this neighborhood.
The rules and regulations about pole access making new fiber network impossible to build out is non sense. Legacy ISPs simply have zero motivation to provide faster speed and cheaper price, and continue to get away with over data cap surcharge.
