Sure this one has less cores and memory, but I prefer the Yoga's bigger and brighter screen & built-in sound.

Since everyone jumped on team red, Intel CPU prices are down so Intel laptops are cheaper than AMD models for the first time in history. Lenovo is preparing for it's Ryzen series Thinkpads and IdeaPads so they will start dumping old models like this one via third parties soon. I think new IdeaPad Slim 7 AMD 4800u model with 16gb ram and 512gb SSD will arrive in two weeks and instantly become one of the best selling and successful product of 2020. It's hard to understand but you can order this models freedos and upgrade in UK, Germany and Asian market but not in USA.
If you are in the market for a good quality laptop you should wait for this one because it's a unique product.
Here is some insider info: when AMD was preparing for CES 2020 and Renoir showcase, they picked some OEMs to show how this new chip perform and what OEMs do with it. One of the top managers in AMD was working for Dell before so first smart shift and all AMD design gaming laptop went to Dell. MSI was working with cheap alternative and they came up with Bravo series. Both Dell g5 15 se and MSI bravo were unsuccessful products. For thin and light category AMD engineers worked with Lenovo. That's why Lisa Su was holding a IdeaPad slim 7 at the CES. Literally her team designed it.
Big players actually don't manufacture their products, they just design it and odms produce and put their logo on final product. For example foxconn is Apple's odm and Lenovo works with Quanta for a long time right now. AMD engineers demanded certain specs for their highest performing u series chip aka 4800u, so it will come out with 16gb fast ram working in dual channel and 512gb SSD (wd black), good color accurate screen and big battery. If you look at the internals of slim 7 it's very different than other products in the same line. It doesn't look like other IdeaPads or yogas because of that. This model designed to success and perform well. And the young engineer team designed this one in Lenovo got promoted. It basically AMD Ryzen 7 4800U Prototype Laptop. Screen is Innolux N140HCG-EQ1 (LEN889C) which is one of the best you can put in a 14" laptop. Ram is dual channel 16GB LPDDR4x which is one of the best rams you can solder on a laptop motherboard. SSD is relatively slower than Samsung but you can swap it. Battery is 60.7Wh which is more than enough. All ports are high quality including HDMI 2.0b. User facing 2x2W Dolby Audio speakers. I mean it's close to perfect. You can expect 15 hours of Web browsing and 14 hours and 45 minutes of video playback from this unit.
I was watching Chinese tech channels via auto translated subtitles and they are literally working inside the industry and this is their personal choice of laptop for themselves.
