So just wondering, What happens if you buy this bundle lets say the 2 batteries and the tool the jigsaw and you return the batteries to Home depot WITHOUT a receipt. Will they just refund you with store credit and you receive the tool free??? lol
price is prorated depending on tool combo. for the jigsaw its $58.34 for the batteries.

Just bought one and was not able to cancel the battery online. Possible to return it in store when it arrives?

Using the phone app, i just searched and added the tool, along with the battery deal, and it adjusted the price automatically.

For those having issues canceling batteries:

1) select in-store pickup for the tool
2) select ship store for batteries (ship to home wont work)
(you'll need to view your cart to make these changes)
3) complete your order
4) immediately go into your orders where you'll have an option to cancel just the batteries
5) go pick up your tool when the order is ready

-----------------
If the tool is not in stock in store, you'll need to get both the tool and battery shipped and return the batteries to the store at a later time for pro-rated price.

I tried to get this deal in store this morning but they told me it was an online deal only, and the display had the deal pricing covered over with a piece of paper

Unless the free tool you want is over 60$ it's not the best deal since you can get the 4ah battery+charger for +20$ over the tool-only price if you plan to collect a few tools

Hate you slickdeals!

I was only really looking for a impact driver and some high capacity batteries to go with my existing ryobi collection - angular, skillsaw, drill, inflator, vacuum.

Managed to find the 3 tool combo set - trimmer, drill, impact driver, 2x2ah batteries for $75 on clearance and was pretty happy with myself. The drill was redundant, as I already had a drill. The trimmer wasn't too useful either as I don't plan to use it.

Now I see this deal, and of course I would rather have the 2x4ah batteries and the quietstrike impact driver seems to be a decent upgrade to the regular impact driver that came with the kit.

$75 for the kit I got seems too good a deal to return, so I might just keep it and craigslist the items I don't need. Will probably pick up this deal and the quietstrike impact driver and maybe the jigsaw which I want/need.

Great Father's Day gift; thanks OP - repped! Btw, the one item that wasn't listed in the OP's free item list was the pressure washer. I don't recall seeing that tool previously, but reviews were quite good on it, and you can use it with just a 5 gallon bucket of water vs even having to drag a hose around (let alone a gas powered engine). A lot of great deals - as an FYI, though, the wireless soldering kit (with adjustable temp knob) is the most expensive free item on the list at over $90.

Okay but how would they know that it was bought with a tool? The normal price for the batteries is 99$ if I just take the batteries and say I don't have a receipt wouldn't they refund me 99$ them thinking it's just the batteries?
Get a job and you wouldn't have to worry about scheming Home Depot for tools.

I do want to purchase the angle grinder ($45). I've already ordered two other combos so have plenty of 4ah batteries. But wondering if it does make sense to just get the $99 deal for angle grinder as well.

Essentially $54 for two 4ah batteries...
