I've been shopping for a sliding miter saw and spotted this one for $349 online and was about to buy it when the HD website told me the closest one in stock was 80 miles away, and it was $399 at that store. So I checked Brickseek on a lark just to see what they said, and it showed several more stores in stock than the HD website said, but it didn't show a price for those stores, it just said "clearance". I've been on plenty of Brickseek wild goose chases in the past but that didn't stop me from getting in the car and checking this one out too... so I went to one 20 min away and arrived with 15 min to spare before closing. Brickseek said there were 2, and there were two sitting right there up front by the blades, priced at $320. So I grabbed a flat cart, loaded one up, and headed to checkout. Brickseek ftw today.
Also, I used my phone real quick to navigate to my favorite auction site to get a quick email coupon for $25 off $200. Got it in about 3 minutes and had the cashier scan the saw and the coup on the phone. Total OTD price for the saw was $315.65.
I'll upload a receipt screenshot and photo if I can figure it out.

I spot checked a few big cities and it seems like there's plenty that show in stock that say clearance. I'm in the Jacksonville area and there were around 6 or so stores.
Also, I understand you can purchase a shadow guide kerf light for like 80 bucks to make this saw just like the DWS780...YMMV on this too. I just learned about it like 10 min ago. On slickdeals of course. Here's a link to the youtube vid:

Finally, when I was searching for prev posts, I noticed about this time last year, someone
posted this same saw on clearance and speculated that the prices may be even lower in some stores, but most were $320. In skimming the thread, it looked like the price trended down all the way to the $200ish range over the next 8 or so weeks. Maybe you'll be the one to find the diamond in the rough this year lol. Good luck all.

Obviously Home Depot. I don't think I've ever seen a Dewalt exclusive coupon, let alone readily available on eBay.
Care to link to the one you used ?

For the record, the coupon cost $5.99....somobody auto-filled the deal in the OP as a $295 deal overnight, which I suppose is more accurate than the $320 I said, since I was able to use the coupon. That being said, In the interest of full accounting disclosure, I suppose you could recreate the deal I posted in the OP for $295 + tax + $5.99 for the coupon.
