It's a good saw. But keep in mind it's huge and needs a lot of space in the back due to the sliding mechanism. Alternatively, delta/ridgid, Bosch and Festool have the sliding mechanism in the front so the saw can be placed against the wall.

If you want THE BEST miter saw stand ever invented, keep an eye out for the foldable mobile miter saw stand from Rigid. They used to go on sale for around $100 a couple times a year. Even at full price, it's worth it though. I use this thing multiple times per week and I don't know what I'd do without it.

Amazing deal! I've had this saw since 2017. It is a work horse. At this price, it's a no brainer if you need a solid saw.

Any deals with this one and the roller stand? Hate my current stand with no wheels.

I assume most the other dewalt deals have been for lesser compound saws paired with the rolling stand?

How does this compare to the Bosch GCM12SD miter? I've been waiting to buy a 12" dual bevel miter this year, and I really like the Axial Glide System since I don't have a ton of space in the garage. I'd be putting it on a moveable stand as well. TIA!

I want to buy this but I already have the non sliding. While I have needed a sliding version twice in the past couple years, hard to justify when I have one I only use a few times a year. Ughhhh. Anyone in Mn wanna take mine off me?

YOu can buy the handle for the DWS780 and install it on this to get the shadow line, but not a laser.

However, nothing is as accurate as lining it up properly with a mark and cutting.

I'm a huge fan of Bosch tools, so if anything I would tend to be biased towards them, but no way. The Ridged is better. Larger wheels alone give the advantage to the Ridged, plus it's half the price and looks sturdier at a glance. I do like the quick connect base on the Bosch, but honestly, if I had 2 different tools I needed a mobile stand for, I'd rather buy 2 Ridged stands for the same price of 1 Bosch and not break my back lifting a miter saw off and on.
