It's a good saw. But keep in mind it's huge and needs a lot of space in the back due to the sliding mechanism. Alternatively, delta/ridgid, Bosch and Festool have the sliding mechanism in the front so the saw can be placed against the wall.

Even at full price, it's worth it though. I use this thing multiple times per week and I don't know what I'd do without it.

Amazing deal! I've had this saw since 2017. It is a work horse. At this price, it's a no brainer if you need a solid saw.

This is the stand I'm currently using with my DWS779, It's a solid setup.

Check for your local Lowe's for clearance. They were on clearance for $299 in March 2024 at some stores, not all stores.

That stand is the inferior knockoff of the Bosch stand. We have both and every single crew prefers both the Bosch glider saw to the Ridgid glider knockoff saw as well as Bosch's stand that Ridgid tried to copy. The Bosch certainly isn't cheap and the Ridgid is a solid buy at $100, but the Ridgid is definitely not "THE BEST"

Picked up this saw three months ago for $225 with a 10% off discount coupon at home depot.... slick deal.... great saw but way big a$$ bought the bosch portable saw stand which I had to move the whole apparatus to shed which is a pita..... good deal... good saw.... just way big

I had this for a few years and got the Festool version for its smaller footprint and superior dust collection .

Dewalt made a great saw, but it commands a large footprint. If thats a concern look into a saw with the sliding bars in front not in the back like this one.

Agreed, great stand. Makes it easier

I just bought a 12" duel bevel on sale and I upgraded from my cheap 10" on that stand. I will say while fine, I wish I stuck with just getting a better 10" just so it's a bit lighter. The amount of times I need that extra is so minimal and either a circular saw I can make a straight cut and if I need an angle break out the table saw

yea, buy a laser that replaces the arbor. adding the xps light is superior, but not cheap. id wait for the 780 to go on sale if thats the route you want to go.
