Mixing bowls are set of 3 (1.5, 3 and 5 qt) for $54. Order this as well.

Now after reading about second quality, worried how it is going to turn out.. ordered 4 pieces which are seconds (4 qt everyday essential, 3 qt sauté, fry pan 12", and d7...rest are packing damaged ones. I understand they are not returnable.

Is there a way to edit my order? What if they are bad second quality ConfusedConfused

I own/owned 15+ 2nds quality and unless you get a magnifying glass, you can't see the 'issues'

Trying not to be a Karen, but aren't those cheap nonstick made with a material that breaks down easier and is made with a carcinogen?
Yes, however that is all non-stick compounds - even the 'expensive' ones. There are none that are totally immune to breaking down over time, and obviously consuming the particles as they break down is always bad regardless of material. There are only like 3 food safe non-stick materials on the market. Teflon is probably the one you've heard the most about, not many people use that anymore.

I asked last year but never got a response. Is "Packaging Damage" a "grade A" pan in a damaged box? Confused they would put in on sale if they could just replace the box.
From all clad /Feb 2020: "Damaged packaging is that the picture carton is damaged in some way. However, the product inside should be of 1st quality with not defects."

Can you do this with Olive oil, or do you need high smoke point oil?
No olive oil. It will smoke before you can put food in. Try butter if you dont want canola oil?

The d3 cooked more evenly and outperformed the d5 in nearly every test I've seen online thus far. Multiple pans. I don't think the 5 ply helps with anything except add the illusion of being harder to build and therefore warranting a higher price
Well, the D3 6qt saute pan was sold out, so the choice was made for me. From what I've seen, most comparisons are with 12" fry pans, which has a 9.5" flat. The 6qt pans are 13.5" and have 12.5" flats. That's a 73% greater area/volume, and I could see the interim layer making a difference at some point. If you have any comparisons with a 14" fry pan or a 5/6qt saute pan, I'd love to see that. I'll also say that I'm on induction, so speed of heating up is irrelevant to me.

Hope this help. I hated buying nonstick every 2 year and so glad I learn how to use stainless. Never have to spend $ on nonstick pan again.

Please explain. I am interested.
Different materials are good for different use cases, so I guess the stainless clad aluminum could be better for some things, but the iron will have better heat retention. That's useful for searing meat or slowly browning roux as well as using your Dutch oven for baking. If you're working with watery ingredients, there's little difference in cookware material.

I have Emeril wear from the early 2000s and I always thought they were good quality. I have the 10" skillet, 3qt suace pan and 4 and 6 qt pot I believe and they are all still used weekly going strong. I didn't know All-Clad made them. I'm here for a 12" skillet - do you know which modern All-Clad would match?

Wait - mine are stainless - not non-stick.
Yes - from the beginning, All-Clad made Emeril-Ware...up until mid-2010's...not sure what happened, but it's someone else making it now. Maybe I just was fortunate in that I haven't seen any of the nonstick having issues...I don't know...but I use the hell out of those two frying pans.

As a veteran of dozens of trips to the Fairgrounds sale, I must say these prices are nothing to get excited about by comparison. The physical sales are a social distancing nightmare but you could have tried to stick a little closer to those prices. You didn't have to spend all the money to put on the sale but you disappoint people by being so stingy with the deals. Don't even talk about the discount off retail those are ridiculous numbers only Williams Sonoma shoppers pay. All Clad sales are not the slightest bit slick anymore.

Which of the 2 Demeyere's do you think is better? What's the difference?
From what I could find out, it's just a matter of the handles and the finish (brushed vs. polished). They're the same otherwise. I ended up going with the 5-Plus version.
