1. Go to the app, select "Force Mode"
2. Set Preferred Network Type: either "GSM Auto" or "LTE/UMTS auto"
This should enable you to make voice call or text both incoming & outgoing.
I had success doing this for my CricketWireless. When doing voice call, it switches to 3G mode.
You must setup your regular APN to have 4G LTE enabled.
NOTE: APN settings are locked on the Visible ZTE Blade A7 Prime out-of-the-box.
An easy way to be able to add, edit, and save the correct APN for your carrier is to insert a spare SIM from another carrier...the one I used was a out-of-service Freedompop AT&T SIM. You can then hand-enter the correct APN info and save it as default. Once you re-insert your current SIM, you should see both the APN you saved and the (formerly absent) options to add/edit the APN.
FWIW, this phone does not appear to work on Xfinity Mobile, even with the updated APN. This may be a surprise to some, since ZTE R2s from the last Visible promo work are plug-and-play with Xfinity.
The body feels too cheap and the screen resolution is crappy at best. I'm not even going to comment on the camera and the image quality. The only thing positive about this phone compared to the Moto E5 is that its got Android 10 and has 32 gb storage. Way few network bands mean this is not going to be useful if you plan to use on other network.
I would not recommend this phone unless you want to use it as the 3rd or a 4th backup phone. For the $25 I paid for phone+1st month service, this is going to serve as a music player or a wifi remote at best.
Agreed. ZTE A3 has like 2017 low end specs except USB-C and Android 10 which don't matter if the hardware is subpar.
I was shocked that they wanted $99 without port in for this phone. This phone is one of those that ends up on clearance at Target/Walmart for like 20 bucks within 6 months.
the unlocked version of this phone is like 60 on Amazon right now.
The Moto E6 at least was decent and a capable backup phone for many.

Did the Visible employee make fun of you for not reading the highly VISIBLE terms that said "port in required"? You must have been so embarrassed.

Would advice not to go with this phone even if it is totally free. You'll save yourself headache and time not using this phone.
Other than that, I was able to use this phone's activated SIM on the Note 9 without any problems for the past 2 weeks.
There are no other promos... Unless you can suggest a free phone for $25?
I just drove a few hours with Waze + hotspot running and the battery has plenty juice remaining.
Did anyone get charged tax on the free phone?

I'm in Massachusetts, this could vary by state.
