Granted this is another VA 4K panel but i think this is the cheapest new 32 in 4K I've seen.
Cheap for even a VA panel. As long as you are ok with budget no frill and VA panel, this is probably the cheapest deal around.

no but my dad bought a cheap westinghouse TV, about 5 years ago, the tv was so bad you can't see any dark scenes in the movie and all the colors are off, sold it cheap and never buy the brand again.

also walmart saved some of these westinghouse models just for black friday.

Yes, it's good. I tried 3 before deciding on the ur55. Best bang for buck. Honestly liked it more than the LGs.

Yes, but not in 4k. Losing way too many features in this one just to have an extra 4". 4" ain't gonna matter when the picture is horrible.

Thanks. My old eyes need a 32" though. I've been keeping an eye on a Philips at Amazon for $340ish, but it's been coming in and out of stock before I can buy. No idea if it's IPS or whatever. Is this a good monitor, assuming it comes back in stock?

I did have a few westinghouse TV and i can't say that the TV was top notch quality. But i think this VA monitor has a good chance of being better than those TV.. There is always a lot of artificial signal processing in any TV that will ruin your signal. but a lot less of these artificial enhancement in a monitor. You shouldn't let your TV picture quality experience carry over to a monitor. They are really different beasts

If you google this model, there are many reviews that say the picture quality is not bad. Obviously all of these reviews makes note of VA more limited viewing angle (like any other VA monitor). Also the no frill stand with tilt only (Westinghouse is not even the only one doing this. Several other more costly VA monitors doing the same kind of tilt only stand). Its not the brightest at 220nit. But I didn't really see any review about horrible picture quality beyond that of any VA panel. Reviews mostly agree that it displays sharp text and is good for office productivity stuffs.

It's obviously was never designed for gamers.

Also another VA panel. The cheapest i've seen for an IPS was when monoprice was still selling their own brand for as low as $340. I got one at $370 even though i didn't quite need it then. Glad i did.

But getting back to this, you are not going to see IPS 32in new for less than $400+ usually

I definitely think you need 32in to take full advantage of the 4K native resolution without having to scale up your desktop and lose the display estate. 28in at 4K is a bit small text at 100% scaling.
