Just read a news release when I was trying to find some product info:

June 16th, 2020

Guangzhou Powecom Labor Insurance Supplies Co., Ltd appoints www.bonafidemasks.com , a division of Ball Chain Mfg. Co., Inc. as the new premier distributor for our FDA Authorized KN95 mask products in the USA.

FDA Appendix A: Authorized Imported, Non-NIOSH Approved Respirators Manufactured in China (Updated: June 17, 2020) [fda.gov]

The unit price isn't cheap: $2.4 each and shipping fee is kind of high: around $14 per order via UPS ground, although you can order more to cut down both unit price and shipping cost per unit.

However, this may be the first time we know we can get a quality KN95 on FDA authorization list from a trustful vendor which is endorsed by manufacturer.

$20 is a pretty decent price, I was initiallly about to get 50x from bonafidemasks but I've been holding off cause the price keeps dropping. Office Depot has a great return policy in case it doesn't come with the sticker.
It is a good price but only made a difference of about $1.50 for me after tax. I need these pretty quickly for someone that is leaving on a trip so I ordered from OD this time since they should be delivered Tuesday. Bona Fide Masks shipping is good too (they get orders out the door pretty quickly) but I'm not sure I'll have them Tuesday.

How is OD able to sell these as genuine products since Powecom said Bonafide is their only authorize distributor in the US?

The Powecom website doesn't say that Bona Fide Masks is their only distributor in the US . Here is the link to the page on their site with some of their distributors, including some in the US. It also says this list is not complete.
http://www.powecom.com/distributo...masks.html

Their News page on their site lists Bona Fide Masks as an "important regional distributor" without listing any of their other distributors but it doesn't say Bona Fide Maks is their only US distributor.

However, because Bona Fide Masks is listed on the website, you know you are getting genuine masks from them.

Would you really take the word of a company called Bonafide that they are the only "bonafide" company selling Powecom masks??? With a name like Bonafide , I'd be more suspicious they were fake

That's like saying CheapTickets.com are actually the cheapest tickets..... Absolutely not. Just an analogy Smilie

I got the Powecom 10pk headband style a few days ago from Bonafide. Had anti-fake sticker and mfg date of 6/2/20 so all is good. I have a small face and the straps don't make as tight a fit as the 3M N95. Still much better than an earloop KN95 that's a diff. brand which is a very loose fit. Family member has large face and the straps make the mask very tight. I tried criss-crossing the straps shown earlier but the straps just slide down. Best solution I can find is to tie a small loop in each strap and the mask is now tight-fitting for me, see attached. I have some foam from a craft project and will be adding some nose strips soon. Just in time too - another strap broke on one of my 3M N95 masks. Worn each of those over a dozen times in past few months and will retire them all as soon as the Powecoms are DIYed.

Ordered 100 of the Powecom KN95 earloop masks from BonaFide/Ballchain for myself, family and friends, and they shipped in a timely manner, 3-Day Priority Mail. I even got a couple of nice follow-up emails from the owner of the company (one automated, one personal). I was about out of 3M N95s, which I bought at Home Depot back in March, when I started to see the writing on the wall when it became ridiculously obvious that the govt advice to not wear any sort of masks was pure BS. I've been re-wearing the 3M N95s too much (after letting them rest), and I've also been wearing cloth masks some (the ones from Sam's with the melt-blown layer), but they are not as protective, and the Sam's cloth masks don't seal that well due to the nose wire not being great. I figured 20 of the 3M N95 would be more than enough, but I was wrong, especially after I gave a few to family and friends.

The good: These KN95s were packaged well, in a hard box, and individual plastic packs, each containing 10 masks, each with the "anti-fake" label. I didn't run the QR code, but they look very legit, complete with inspection slip in each package, with the Chi-com red star approval stamp. They were manufactured 6/2/2020 (or 2/6/2020, depending on whether they reversed the month and day as some countries do).

First impression is that the masks are very, very nice. Comfortable, strong ear straps, and appear to have a good quality nose wire. They kind of make you look like a bird when wearing them, but all KN95s do. I have acquired some soft plastic reusable ear-savers, which basically convert them to headband masks (but also allow you to let them dangle around your neck when you are in the car, etc., which is hard to do with the masks manufactured as headband masks.

The bad: The USPS took a FULL two weeks to deliver the 3-Day Priority Mail package, but that isn't the seller's fault. Guess the new postmaster general was serious when he said they were going to start slowing down mail delivery! Tracking number says it has been with USPS since the day after they shipped it, so no harm, no foul there. If BonaFide reads this, might want to start using UPS/Fedex ground if you don't want mad customers. I'm not mad - some would be.

Buying 100, I got the price down to $1.65/mask with free shipping, and then got an extra $5 off from the Amex shop small promo, dropping the price to $1.60/mask shipped. Hopefully, these will last through the pandemic. I would recommend this seller.

You got to work directly with covid patients at my hospital (Florida) to even get an n95 mask. I work in the lab (you know, the place that runs the covid-19 samples) and they give us surgical masks that we are expected to reuse for a week. These really help out, so thank you very much

That's absurd that you have to reuse surgical masks. It's an absolute joke that our frontline workers still don't have access to PPE.

The head strap version of these seal well on me but I have a huge oval shaped head. I have to diy the ear loops to get same fit. If you have big head/face and don't want to mess with alterations then they might be worth the extra cost.

I agree. When I ordered, the Powecom earloops were $27, now they're $22 with tax for me at Office Depot. I might've been tempted to deal with the earsavers and save $10 if I'd waited for the OD offer.

Huh?
So you bought both the ear loop and the headband style in one order, and the headband packaging you received contains the ear loop mask so you now are ended up with all earloop and non headband. Is this what you mean?
I would email Bonafide and explain it. They are very consumer centric because of you genuinely got the mixed up then someone else probably experience it too.
