What's up with all the Jamo posts? SD is the only place I ever see them advertised
They are all sponsored posts popping up.
This is an SD sponsored posting. It was posted by an SD editor and is for a sponsored vendor (Adorama). These are put up every day or so and will get promoted to front page status so that SD gets more affiliate cash back from the vendor.

Great quality gear though at these prices. Sponsored post or not, it's hard to beat (not particularly this sub woofer, bit songs of their other speakers)

Anyone having bought this can please comment on its performance? I felt 100W might not have that much of a bass kick.
I bought this last week, primarily because I live in an apartment, liked the aesthetic, needed a smaller form factor, and something that wasn't crazy loud. Turned up, it's actually a lot more powerful that I thought it would be and nicely compliments some (overpriced) Audioengine speakers I have hooked up to the TV.
I'm not an audiophile but I'll give you my qualitative evaluation using my own metric system: it wasn't good enough to hear that constant low rumbling of the Enterprise when watching STNG but was surprised how much bass there was when I cranked GOOBA (don't judge me).
One thing to note: For some reason it sounded horrible with the cable provided. I replaced the cable and it immediately sounded a TON better.
*edit: Avoiding the Jamo. Seems like there's quite a few Jamo sub owners[avsforum.com] (S808 and S810[crutchfield.com]) who complain about a "thumping heartbeat" sound where the amp goes bad.

Ultimately went with the Earthquake CP8 [amazon.com].
