I think this matches ACME deal currently going on. Difference would be +tax, but I personally would prefer to pay tax with Home Depot for better customer service.

Easy price match at Lowe's if no HD close. I did one last week on this exact setup.

This is a solid deal. The saw has been selling on amz for 279 and the stand is usually in the $75 range. So you're getting the saw for 279 and the stand for $20. Solid.

Looking for first table saw. Looking to get into ripping 1x6, 2x4, even 4x4 and also into making first workbench, office table top, things of this sort. Maybe even bathroom cabinets.

Been looking at the comparably-priced Ridgid.

Should I be concerned about the 8.25" blade versus a 10" blade?

If you have a router and you're not too worried about dados, this could work. Also the stand has no wheels so mobility might be an issue. Make sure all the capacities are good enough for your needs.

I'm waiting on the 7491rs myself but so is everyone else and their moms, apparently.

The 8.25 inch has a wider fence so you can rip 4x8 sheets of plywood.

Buy a $20 off HD coupon on eBay for about $3 to make this dealer even slicker.

Not for making furniture, no.

I was cutting plywood shelving last week, I screwed three boards together so I'd get an exact cut for all the shelves. I have a 10" blade and there was a lot of room to spare; the 8.25" blade would have handled it just fine.

Well, you can just walk into a HD and return it, can't you? Can't do that with Acme. They never give me a hard time at my local HD.
