This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Just want to chime in with my experience on this-

I chatted with a rep through the T-Mobile app, made it very clear that I only wanted to add a line if it was completely free. I stated multiple times that I have a grandfathered plan (T-Mobile ONE All-In) that I don't want to lose. The rep never directly addressed that but just proceeded with the activation. Afterwards I got a order confirmation email that showed my plan being switched to a Magenta plan with a price increase of $50! I called into Customer Care, was told that I only qualify for the deal if I change my plan. I had them cancel the order completely and they claim I'll stay on my plan. I really hope that's the case.
Yeah, I'm hesitant to change. I have that plan plus all in/hookup so 20% off for life. Dont want to lose it.

They are saying the trade in has to be done in store. Is anyone getting this? They are saying I should go into store and do the add a line and trade in at once
Nope, I did it over the phone. You mail in trade in after you get your new phone in the mail. Some people prefer to do it in the store so that they know on the spot if their trade in is accepted.

So here's a summary of what you need to know or not:

Called in and was told that SC was eligible and had 2 free liens from a few years ago.

Was told If I buy one line, I'll be Eligible for a second line, but will need to pay for a SIM card.

Told them it was a free line if I already had 2 paid lines and they said I can upgrade my paid line (the new one) with a free line they will give me if I add a new line.

They then checked and told me I can use a e sim and I won't need to pay for a new line, only taxes.

They then came back and told me only T-Mobile one plans are available and I need to upgrade. I told them T-Mobile one plans don't exist anymore. They said they unfortunately can't help me

They offered me $10 credit for the inconvenience , I refused and hung up.

They called me back and apologized for getting disconnected and I hung up on them again...

Whatever...

He is so wrong. Unless you have some business account that's not included in the promo. For most of us with magenta, One, or SC, no new paid line is necessary.
I was told One was grandfathered and inelegible.

Nope, you can only have 1 free line promotion. I just called. I am paying for 2 lines with 1 free, I was told to upgrade to Magenta pay for 3 and get 1 free w/ Netflix. Also since I am adding a line, this qualifies for the BOGO on Samsung Galaxy Phones.

erm, i already had one free line on my account (2 paid 1 free) from a port in deal a few months back

added a free line about 30 minutes ago via web chat no problem.

I'm on Tmobile one plan with 4 paid lines and 1 free for $130. I did a chat on Tmobile app this morning and was able to add another free line. I have an extra unused sim card and i was able to get it done in about 5 mins. It was super quick and easy.
did they charge you anything for the activation?

Can anyone help with this?

I did the whole process of adding a free voice line, and did the trade in for a free iphone 11 (with my iphone xr). I have the Simple Choice plan with 5 lines already. I asked if by doing this my plan and monthly payment will not be changed at all, and Tmobile said that is correct. But in the order confirmation I see that my plan has been changed to Tmobile Essentials.

I contacted Tmobile again via imessage and was told that they can change my plan back to the Simple Choice after I received the new iphone 11 in the mail next Wednesday. I asked them if my original plan is already qualified, why did tmobile have to change it to the essentials plan? The response was: "our system may have selected the newer rate plan as the lines were added and the bypass was not put in place it happens sometimes but we can fix it." And that they cannot change it back now until the new line is added (when the new iphone 11 is received on my end).

Is this true? I really don't want to lose the simple choice plan. This is going to be a headache comes next week when I try to convert it back to the simple choice plan, isnt it?
I would cancel the order if I were you. Based off past experiences, you probably won't be able to switch back to Simple Choice since it isn't available anymore.

seems like there's a bunch of untrained idiots that don't know what they're talking about as per usual with T-Mobile. call them back and try with another rep.

Now their guy on chat is telling me this? FFS, they need consistency.

"Upon checking here that your account is eligible for our promotion. The requirement for the promotion is you have 2 lines.

To take advantage, you just need to activate 1 more voice line and you will get 1 free.

Are we clear so far?"

I'm still mad at t-mobile for changing the mobile hot spot AFTER joining with T-mobile ONE plan. Several months later, they reduced the speed to 3G.

Maybe this is not the thread to ask. But I'm currently on a 4-line Simple Choice Unlimited plan for ~$215/mo. Parents with moderate usage, 2 college kids with 20-30 GB usage. Is this grandfathered plan worth keeping or should I change to MagentaPlus? The only thing I would lose from SC is:
Video streaming included with Binge On
Music streaming included with Music Freedom

I am not sure whether the kids 20-30 GB data usage includes the video/music streaming. Or if they would get hit by moving from SC unlimited to Magenta+

Or just try to add a free line and call it a day?

Rep said I didn't qualify as an existing customer with 2 already paid lines and qualifying plan. I had to add another line to get this free. Talking to another one right now.
