How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

I have a number that I want to port over but not ready yet...when I create a new phone line, can I port the number over and exchange the new T-mobile with the number that I want to port it in a week or so? Anyone know?
You can port in a number any time but I'm not sure if there's a time limit when you need to port in a number to qualify for the $350 off iPhone 11 promo.

I thought this would be the case, but the rep said nothing would be affected...

So I went through with it...big mistake 😭 I was moved to the Magenta plan and lost all my discounts.

I'm fighting it, but I anticipate this is going to be a long uphill battle to get back to where my account was. Because I had a lot of promotions on my account that I've now lost.
Which plan did you have that all discounts feel off?

Looks like I have 10SCFM4, which according to this thread, doesn't seem eligible. Was hoping to get a iPhone SE to upgrade an aging iPod Touch.

Just confirmed through iMessage support that my plan is eligible (NAFUTT4), and that I can add the line myself online to save the $20 support fee. It will still be free.
When you add the line yourself online is there any indication on the screen that it will be free?

My is simple choice originally 4 for $100. Currently have 8 line total and 2 are free lines. Texted TMobile and was able to get the free line and charged $30 activation fee. Let's hope it is indeed free.

T-Mobile One with 8 lines.
Lost 3 free lines, 1 line that was $10 off, Kickback and One Plus Promos, and Netflix UHD for $5

Edit: If you have less than 8 lines you shouldn't have a problem. It is my understanding that the One Plus plan with 9 lines no longer is supported.

Nope. Just gotta trust the system.
It's a good idea to get it in writing from a rep before you do it online.
I have in writing that my specific plan is eligible, and I will get the line for free if done online.

I saw one person on Reddit who added on their own yesterday, and today the new line shows up with the discount.

Your best bet is to at least get some form of written communication from tmobile telling you that your plan is eligible and that you can add it yourself to avoid the fees.

Then, do it yourself and check in a month or two for your credits. If you don't see it, at least you have written proof that you had qualified for the free line and easier to get things worked out. If you just do it without anything from T-Mobile and want to argue after the fact, it might get ugly. T-Mobile has been pretty good for me to resolve issues, (disclaimer: I've been with them over over 12 years)

God damn it.

Just got a message from Tmobile and they changed my plan from Tmobile One to Magenta for the free line.

Never requested or authorized the change. Working on getting things back to the original plan is going to be a pain.

-Kickback, 20% insider, autopay, 1 line 1 free, etc.... These Tmobile reps should stop messing around with people's plan if they don't know what they're doing. Changing things without authorization.
Yes it was a pain. Still won't know for sure until next bill.

Thanks for this news. I have to be mindful of this since I'm now sitting at 7 lines with 3 of them free.

I asked the rep what specials I qualify for. I was told i could get 11 if i ported in a line or get 50% off SE or Xs.

Quote from vaiof1 :
Are you sure on the XS? the FAQ says only Magenta plans qualify, not Simple Choice.
https://www.t-mobile.com/content/...0-off.html

The website says only Magenta qualifies for the 50% off XS>

From my chat in the tmo app
No worries there will be no changes on your plan. We will just be simple adding a new line on your plan and take advantage the promotion for 50% off for iPhone X.

Wanna make sure that I got the correct information here, this will be for iPhone x black 64gb. correct?

Last year the same thing happened to me, they changed the plan to Magenta and everything fell off !!!
The it took me 3 months to keep calling them and getting it back to "One" plan and get all the promos added back...geez...real PITA !!! The system kept sending me notifications that "xxx promo was activated" and then again "xxx promo was removed" etc a bunch of times making it very confusing which one to believe and which one to ignore !
Since then I am scared of changing anything (from the lines or plan point of view) otherwise it will take another 3/4 months to permanently fix any mess they make!
Some blame goes to their tight (or rather broken) system as well, it automatically kills a lot of promos/discounts which seem to be hard for them to manually re-enable !!!
These guys (or rather their system) is stupid enough to keep 2 plans called "One" and "One 9+" ! Had they kept straight "One 9+" plan for everyone to begin with folks would NOT keep complaining to add lines beyond 8 lines...lol
Now, someone in this thread said "Make sure to go to One 9+ plan and NOT Magenta 9+ plan to keep the discounts/promos intact"...! Anyone has a first hand experience with this idea? I mean can the reps/T-Force even do it (change to One 9+ rather than Magenta 9+ plan)???

You should be good with 7 lines 👍 But make sure you get everything you can in writing, and take screenshots just in case things aren't set up correctly.

She also said I have 2 weeks to decide if I wanted to add one of the current new phone promotions.
Do we actually have 2 weeks after claiming the free line to get a 50% off or BOGO phone deal? some people say while this line promo is active (which might just be this weekend).

And if so, only directly through TMO, or also authorized retailers like Costco/WA?
