Be aware that although this looks like a rotomolded cooler, it's actually injection molded. It's trying to come off as if it's a direct yeti competitor, but because of the different construction it really isn't.

It's also half the price, and weighs a lot less than a Yeti.

Yeti coolers actually are not as great as their popularity. They are more of a status symbol that come with a sticker to put on your boat or truck. But not worth the price compared to cheaper coolers. Youtube is full of comparison videos. I really like "coolers on sale" youtube channel. Heres a video he does comparing coolers with ice over days. I have also watched other channels and most of the time Yeti is near the worst. They just have great marketing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu-V0ZqfYHg&t=3s

There is some truth to what you've said but I wanted to make two counter points. First, all rotomold cooler manufacturers recommend prechilling the cooler and basically none of those tests go through the trouble. Are you personally surprised that the cooler with more mass to cool uses more ice to do so ? I'm not. Second, one concern with a major purchase is the long term viability. I believe Yeti and Rtic will be around for a long time but most of the other manufacturers I think are fly by night meaning that lifetime warranty doesn't mean diddly. Yes yeti is expensive but I think it's a mistake to attribute 100% of their success to marketing. Their stuff doesn't suck, it's just expensive.

Agreed - it definitely depends on your needs. Most likely most people don't need a Yeti. However, if you want a rotomolded and end up buying this assuming that's what it is, you're going to be surprised and disappointed. That's why I commented.

I've seen that video before. Without rewatching, I believe I'm recalling that the tl;dr was that [based on how he used them,] the Rotomolded coolers, so long as they were made properly, outperformed by a couple days.
Now what I don't think anyone has actually tested side by side is durability / longevity, and also tested them for use after conditioning, and then opening very infrequently while also trying to put them in more optimal conditions than say a hot garage or driveway. I have no proof that the Rotomolded coolers would outperform much more noticeably in that use case (which is actually what they're designed for) but I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't notably outperform most injection molded coolers, especially over time.
Again, the number of people who NEED a Rotomolded cooler is pretty low imo - most folks just are keeping beer and stuff in their coolers, so they're opening it constantly, and at that point it barely makes a difference. However, to deny that roto coolers are more likely to last a lifetime under harsher use, and perform notably better in certain scenarios, is perhaps to buy into the "myth of Yeti" narrative a bit too much.
Oh and also Yeti is definitely a status symbol type thing. I know people in the south who've bought them literally (and I mean literally) and non-use decorations for their house. They'll never use them, and don't want them to get dirty at all. Hilarious.
Been going through these for a couple days and ended up ordering what I needed on monoprice, they have rotomolded that perform well according to reviews.

I have the similar one from Yeti...the Roadie. I think I'm gonna return it and get the Hopper M30 Cooler Bag instead.
Cooler bags are more versatile IMO. Easier to carry uphill and used to carry drinks discretely into a hotel
This deal popped up last year and I snagged the 70. Used it for a weekend golf trip and performed great.
Pros: a hell of a lot lighter than my yeti 50 was. Holds ice great for what I'm doing. Cup holders on top and even a bottle opener.
Cons: as someone stated the plastic construction is different so it's also not as hard/thick. Mine has a pretty good chunk taken out of the upper front I guess just from banging around in my truck bed during the trip.
